| One of the ads that occasionally pops up is the culprit I am certain. I clicked on one that immediately got blocked by my browser. Can't recall the name, but I haven't clicked an ad here since. |

| Nothing has changed The Dodgeboard site has not changed in any way. None of the ads on Dodgeboard contain phishing ads or malware. All Google ads are pre-screened and certified malware free by Google. I personally select which sources are allowed to offer up content relevant ads to our site. Additionally, we have chosen to opt out of any ads the use tracking cookies or track the identity of the user. This was done because DodgeBoard places the highest concern on your privacy and security. Microsoft has become very trigger happy when identifying malware recently, especially when identifying possible phishing sites- this is why it says it is a "POSSIBLE phishing site". Normally, anytime a hyperlink is obfuscated (the link name differs from the link itself) Microsoft will trigger the "POSSIBLE phishing site warning. We do not have pop-ups on Dodgeboard because personally, I think they are annoying and obtrusive, and nobody looks at them anyway. Please understand that we have to pay for the site somehow- so walking the tightrope between pleasing advertising vs. obtrusive ad content is something we've had to consider. The site cost about $1000.00-$1200.00 a year to operate, including Google adwords, software renewal costs, SEO, and hosting fees. This does not include any labor for upgrades, maintenance or coding, since I perform those duties daily/weekly. Currently, the ads placed on the site pay for about 60% of our annual costs. Last year, with a reduced amount of traffic, we averaged about 40%. We hope for the day when the site will be "in the black" and the ads will fund the costs of running the site. All advertisers wishing to enter into the Google adsense circle, must complete a rigorous review and study by Google prior to acceptance for ad placement into other sites. I have not heard of a Google adsense ad sneaking malware onto an affiliate website. Such an instance would undermine the integrity of Google, so you can bet that Google takes great care to make sure it never happens. Since the only way we get any revenue, is when you click on an ad, we hope that you will trust that Dodgeboard and all of the affiliate advertising on Dodgeboard is pre-screened by Google and is certified to be safe and malware free. If you believe you have stumbled onto an ad that is unsafe, obtrusive, or not in line with the core values of Dodgeboard, I hope that you will notify me of the ad and the url in the ad so that I can ask it to be added to our black list. As the administrator, I am also the webmaster and therefore am not allowed, by the terms of the Google contract, to ask for our members to click on the ads that exist on this site. I can tell you they are 100% safe and that they are the only source of funding for this site. Our continued existence relies on your trust and your occasional participation in these ads. | Use Mozilla Firefox as an Internet browser. Stay away from Microsoft Internet Explorer.

| Just got my Security+ certification, and I can tell you that while Firefox is safer, it still has its issues. In fact, it may have more security issues than IE, but they are different and less exploited. That being said, I am using it right now. It just kicks the snot out of IE 7. Thanks Admin. ($1200? That doesn't seem like much over the course of a year... fundraiser anyone? I'd pay to keep DB up and pop-up free!)
