Current State Of Dodge City Law

So it seems the thread pulling is starting to unravel the sweater that is Dodge City Law. As many of you know the Law was set to host a home playoff game at a record of 9-2. However, due to violations regarding uploading game film, they were stripped of 2 wins and lost the chance to host a home playoff game. I have heard from several reliable sources that some of the coaches did not make the bus trip to Duke City a couple weeks ago and at least 1 coach has already resigned.

This all stems from the Ponders not keeping current on their financial obligations to players, coaches, and vendors. I personally know of several vendors that have been burned by the Ponders. I have just found out that the players remaining here in town were kicked out of the hotel that the team was staying in. Several of them are waiting to get paid so they can afford to get back home.

Why are we letting the Ponders to continue to run the Dodge City Law into the ground? They are doing nothing but causing negative opinions to be formed about the Dodge City community. It is sad to see this happen as the one's left to clean up the mess are never the one's that created the mess in the first place.

If someone could please cross post this on DC Chat I would appreciate as I do not do the whole Facebook thing.

When did it become okay in America to contract people and not live up to obligations. If they had any honor, they would go to their sponsor AAA Pawn and pay the players

Some one just emailed me screenshots of a Go Fund Me that someone created and shared on DC Chat. Looks like the players were removed from their hotel yesterday. This person also told me that the post was also removed from DC Chat. Ponders must be trying to do damage control.

Why has it taken 4 years for people to realize the Ponders and the former manager Ricky are scam artists? When they first announced the team 4 years ago a quick google search of their names, as well as the league and teams they came from showed a LIST of articles about them being sued for breach of contract, for not paying bills, and other scumbag reasons. They have to find all new sponsors each year from further and further away because of the way they screw people around. Notice they are getting less and less each year? The tickets have almost tripled in price since the team started. They have been thrown out of every Hotel in town over the past 4 years, and many restaurants won't even serve the players, because they like to skip out on their bill.
I am in no way against the idea of indoor football at our arena, hell it makes far more sense than hockey. I am just against people like this coming in and sucking the community dry, and not paying their bills, all while building a nice new fancy house at Summerlon. No doubt they will try and blame others for their ways, and leave town, only to set up the circus somewhere else. Hopefully the city they land in is smart enough to use google...

Same issue when Notle became DCCC president. All one had to do was search his name on google and you could see he is a ticking time bomb.

The one big deference there being that he was SUPPOSED to be temporary. No chance of him taking the job permanently. Just an interim, "Not at all interested in accepting the job of president" Liars, all of them!

So sounds like they have left the league and skipped town?

What a shame to lose basketball and football the way we have. Successful teams but not successful organizations.

The basketball team did not fold because of anything done here. The league that they were playing in folded. I wish we still had the Dodge City Legend. That was great basketball!!

Right, the basketball league was not economically viable to due to the great distances teams traveled. It was sure fun to watch.
