Hutchinson is posting Police activity online. Outstanding Warrants, too.

On the surface it appears to be a good concept but I imagine that it could inhibit some reporting of crimes and misdemeanors because some victims might not want their public record being made so public.

What do you think?

Think it's a good thing............. makes it easier to get to - I don't think the hardnened criminal cares if his name is online. The gang banger prob just doesn't want folks knowin his "real" name, and the average Joe just doesn't want his domestic in the spotlight. Too bad for all - it's public info and the PD probably spends too much time handin out reports to interested parties. There are real estate folks that rely on where the crime is and there are data base companies that would be all to happy to tell ya. Good for Hutch!! We'll see how long it takes DC to do this.........LOL LOL not!!!!!!!!

Maybe it'll free up some people at the PD's and allow a better use of tax money.
