| Rumors have been flying left and right over the reason why Mr. Bloom left his position and what the allegations are about. I have heard eerything from child sexual abuse to internet child porn. Can anyone find something that clears all this up, at least as to what the investigation is about? |

| Man if you can't tell us........... who could????????.......... I just wanted to add - we have a cop in Texas City that was gotten on a sting (prostitution) and lost his job as well. It's a sad thing when a cop goes to the other side. With that in mind - I just wanna say - if ya know this guy - now is the time that he needs that call that says........ don't know what ya did, don't know if it's true - but if ya need anything please know I'm here. These guys loose thier job, way of life, career and often times thier family in one day. It's not uncommon for a cop to just end it when he's been accused of something he may or may not have done. Most of us don't have the kind of pressure jobs like they have. I like to think if I were in that position - I would not bow to temptation. But some cops just cave. Call it character flaw call it weakness........ I don't know but I do know just by seein a few cops go down that it is much more devistating than it seems to be for most professions. They are held at a higher standard (which they should be) - but they are human just the same. Course if he's a bad cop he needs to be gone but not necessarily gone from this world. So many times cops are the easy target. Course in our TC case - he proped an undercover cop - seems he woulda known but guess that weakness was too strong.............. still he deserves the same compassion as all the other perps............... Obviously the info must be pretty damning if he voluntarily resigned......... too bad. I would hope it's not child porn or sumthin.......... course coulda been sumthin on his puter than nailed him too....................

| Presumptions are fun, but not always accurate. Just wait for 'the rest of the story'. ![]()

| Well I'm hoping that maybe the story isn't that bad. I know that lots of places the politics are such that it's easy to get set up for almost anything. I guess that was my point. Thank goodness my son has never been in that situation and his force backs it's officers (which is a rareity these days) but it doesn't mean I don't feel for every cop that gets caught or caught up. It's a tough job and it takes a toll on many good cops and thier families. So with that in mind I just thought maybe a friendly voice on the phone to this guy might be nice. So many times when something like this happens - folks just kinda "wish they had called" but never did. ....................... Course I feel for the victims as well if there are any victims.......... one never knows bout this kinda stuff. Just seems to me if it were really anything evil he would be arrested by now. Sounds more political..........

| I believe he's well on his way to jail and his wife plead to a probation agreement. It was good that the DCPD wasn't involved with him during all this mess.

| We can only hope that Bloom gets what he deserves in jail. An 5 x 8 cell with 2 roomates, Bubba and Cleofus.
