| TCLOSE isn't any tougher than the test in Ks - but our laws are stranger...LOL I don't know bout not accepting out of state officers - might wanna look again - Houston really does pay a bounty for officers. It really is as high as 7K - Awww come on now - didn't anyone enjoy my links I posted???? They were so popular on the talk show down here. They really are true to life but was meant as a jab to HPD cause they need so many officers.

| Really. When we looked into it the page I read said they would only accept the T-CLOSE Certificate and if you didn't have it you would have to do the 6 month academy plus the 6 month FTO program. It wouldn't have been bad if he started out there and didn't already do the training here. Oh well my time will come to get the Hell out of Dodge. Hopefully sooner than later though!!! |

| Here ya go 357 http://www.houstontx.gov/police/careers.htm NON-TEXAS PEACE OFFICERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Must be currently employed as a municipal, county or state law enforcement officer OR have been so employed within one (1) year of making application Age: 21 – 44 Sixty (60) semester college hours with a 2.0 GPA from an accredited college/university OR military service with an honorable discharge (additional requirements are applicable) Meet all other requirements for Police Officer Trainee I don't know bout Bloom - did he used to be a Texas cop?
