I am posting really late to all these situations but I had a very similar situation years ago.

I pulled into a public restaurant, parked, turned my car off, opened my door and put my foot out the door and was about to stand up and a police officer rammed into my cars rear end doing some mighty fine damage.

They didn't issue either of us a ticket because it was in a parking lot and NO he didn't have to pay for my car to be fixed even though he had insurance and yes he was in his police cruiser. Another thing that pissed me off and I thought was stupid the police report lied big time. There was a Van parked next to the officer and I was parked directly behind the officer and the police report said the van was obstructing the officers view, if anyone reading the report is stupid they would agree with it but the drawing of the cars showed clearly that the van was parked next to the officer not behind not in front or nothing like that, it was on the right side of the officer I was directly behind the officer. I did not pursue it because I was told by a upper guy at the police station at the time you cant fight the police and win it isn't worth it. The only reason I would of lost was because it was an officer go figure.

Don't get me wrong I am not against the police or judges but some of them are down right money hungry and don't see the right from wrong in most situations.

Hey NLIRG, I want to thank you and your fellow officers for helping. I took the wife to Walmart yesterday, and there were plenty of HC spots open!! She wanted me to pass on her genuine THANK YOU!!

First one is; how did the 14 year old get to the parking lot, as it sure appears MOM was called FROM the parking lot, to appear at said parking lot? Does this not mean, that the 14 year old girl must have been driving all over the place, including highways streets etc? Hmmmm?

And if a person without handicapped tags can be ticketed in said parking lot, why can't those who should not even be behind the wheel of a vehicle be ticketed for driving there, or all over?

I know as a Handndijfosdflmc'a;;ed person, um hm. I have seen many handicapped parking areas taken by our illegals who are not HC at all, and snubb a person who has a HC sticker, yet will not move! Not to mention, how well these mexican males who park in "Pregnant Mothers" parking DO NOT show their pregnancies at allllllllllL! Why are these morrons not ticketed for parking where HC people should park and pregnant mothers can't park because these MALE Idiots have parked where once again, they should not be at! Sooo, WHY NOT Ticket them?????????? Or, can these gender morrons not be ticketed unless, lets see, The sun must be another color other than yellow day>???? Then only when the sun is NOT yellow daY, then they can be> ? OR WHAT?>???? OR, only when their TUTU"S DON"T FIT OVER THEIR PREGNANT "MALE" BODIES????? Ok, can I puke now? AGHHHHHHHH


Oh, and just as an afterthought, if the 14 year olds Mother was in the store shopping, leaving her "CHILDREN" alone and unattended, would that not warrant a ticket to the MOM for child endangerment? Just a thought heyyyyy!
seems to me, the young driver must have had practice somewhere all with MOMS knowledge, don't ya think? DUH!

I would like to clear a few things up

1. There are more officers writing handicap tickets.

2. Officers are only allowed to write some things on private property. There are only two Parking violations 1. handicapp 2. Fire Lane (yes they can legally stop and load or unload in fire lane but not handicapp parking.)

3. Walmart is the only ones who can enforce the preg mothers spot and I have seen many white folks park there to. (sorry)

4. Yes you can win against a police officer because I have seen it happen. Even when you should not.

5. Yes, just like every profession there are the bad apples in the basket. You just see it more in writing about cops becasue they live In a glass house and the news loves to write about it..

Not trying to be funny but with our limited police resources and vast amount of crime in this town (that includes the unreported crime also) I would MUCH rather have the police keeping the city safe for me and my family than to have them sitting at Walmart or anywhere else writing tickets for people in handicapped parking. I think it sucks too that people take advantage of that but when your resources are limited you have to pick your battles.

Has anybody else noticed all the Gang Graffiti on the fence on Comanche between 8th & 9th? I just noticed it today. How long has it been there? Anybody know for sure? Who is responsible for covering/cleaning it up, the property owner, the city? To bad we can't hang the little gang bangers up by the balls on the nearest tree!

The police can't catch them when they are busy writing tickets for people in handicapped parking....lol
