Well believe me when I say this...if my family would have known about it, they sure would have dealt with it!!! That was the problem, no communication. Kinda strange really that I didn't feel comfortable enough to go to someone and say HEY! But I usually dealt with things myself, in my own way, anyone who knows me knows that. I just dealt with it.

I am certain the prior Asst. CA mentioned earlier did not make this deal with this defendant. She did charge the cases out, I believe, but she was long gone prior to any deals being made. I know this is an old thread, but I just read this today and felt the need to register and respond. The court records will show which prosecutor was on the case (which prosecutor was appearing at the various hearings) after it was charged out. I do not know if it was John Sauer or not.

Hmm that case that started this thread sure seems oddly familiar to the fat bastard who molested my 13yr old niece and all he got was 5 or 6yrs probation which was a plea bargain. 27yr old man/13 yr old girl I believe the outcome should be a public hanging!!

always the testimony of the victim? Well only if the victim will testify, usually by the time these trials actually get to court, the victim doesn't want to relive it, and is trying to get along with thier life.

It is my understanding that the victim did not want to testify, and her parents supported that decision.

Without her testimony, he might have gotten off scot free.

thanks for understanding that! Real trials and convictions ain't nuthin like CSI.....LOL Ya gotta have the victims testimony in a rape case - otherwise you are damn lucky if you get probation cause most walk without it.

and quoting a 4 month old post of mine serves what purpose? If I can remember back to my train of thought from that long ago, I didn't use the word "always" literally, it was more figuratively. As in, in addition to the confession.
