I'mwith you - I never heard anything so wierd....... I think they can say - no eating in the unit - just like there is no smoking in a unit........... (unless ya work nights!)....... they can require you "check out" on a break or lunch if you are gonna be eatin......... I can see that but not what you eat.............. I don't know a cop around that wouldn't civil liberty that to death or to the death!!!!

Just start taking pictures of a traffic accident and we will come running to talk to ya....

No, we can consume anything we want to while working, with the exception or alcoholic beverages or narcotics...but, we do prefer hot meals instead of cold donuts most of the time. The donut thing is totally a large city image - where they have donut shops open 24 hours a day, not 24 hours a week like the one here. And, even if we do partake, we prefer to call them pastires, not donuts....

So, if you're off duty it is safe to say that it is ok to consume alcoholic beverages and narcotics. I should of been a police officer, lol, just kidding.

OK we got an official answer on eating food on duty, but I still haven't seen an official answer on passing. If you can't I got a few questions.

1. Why the yellow dotted center line which generally means passing IS allowed.

2. At what speed does it become impeding the flow of traffic or a traffic offense for driving too slow.

Now I'm not surprised to find myself on the street with total jerks, after all we live in a country proud of the fact it's our constitutional right to be a jerk, but I was surprised to see one of Dodge City's finest being a out right jerk.
