| I wouldn't have necessarily thrown a fist, but I would have done something to speed up the process! They were just messin aroung lookin in the car! They needed to get that over with so she could get some help!

| While I agree this instance was not handled well at all by the officers, I do have a problem with this. The woman is not an American citizen but a political refugee, not that it should mean better or worse treatment, but will now use the system to get the money she needs. This happened over a year ago. Texie's correct - she'd already given up other children. So what makes her want to sue now? Now there's no evidence to the contrary except the cop cams that show the police woman being mean to her. I might be mean to her as well. The circumstances didn't lend themselves to her looking truthful. I hate to say it, but yes, KC will pay. I still don't agree with it.

| I truly hope for your sake Sherry that you do not ever have a run in with the police. While the majority of them are professional they are not there to entertain the wishes of someone they have in custody or suspect of wrongdoing. I admit the officers were curt and short with her and basically blew her off........I give them some credit for not doing or saying what most would do in that situation. I am/was a very laid back officer but if someone got in my face or refused to cooperate........... I think it is the jail (county) that will have to pay since they had the time, resources and actual duty to see if she was in need of medical attention. I do not know how our jail does it now but we used to have EMS come to the jail to check out someone if they claimed medical problems. If their problems were not related to their incarceration, they or their insurance were billed. P.S. I do agree with them having to pay because the situation should have been, and could have been taken care of. There are safegaurds in place for these situations, they refused to follow them.

| Don't get me wrong...I agree that KC will probably pay her, but I disagree with bringing the suit now after evidence is gone (except the cam). But look at it yourself - does she look pregnant? No, she looks obese. These cops up here can hear any number of stories. They should have had a doctor take a look at her, I'll agree - I just don't fault their handling of it otherwise.

| ya know when I was a jail nurse every inmate brought in was needin sumthin - the majority of inmates had a medical issue - they would just get so sulky when we told them - dont worry - we got doctors here!. I remember the women were the worse whinners on booking but the men were the worse once they got booked. Everyone needed thier prozac (cause they had sold thiers for a rock) and every woman was either cramping or cryin........... this woman was a player to begin with she shimmied out of tickets - and wasn't worried bout nuthin till she got caught - she will get money for sure but they are gonna have a hard time provin that she wouldn't have miscarried anyhow. Had they of let her go she probably woulda went home and waited till it was toolate - hell it was alredy probably toolate - I don't think she miscarried cause she got arrested - she miscarried casue she probably didn't take care of herself to begin with. Her attention to prenatal will be a big factor. my guess after several kids already she probably hadn't even seen an MD yet - she just knew she was preg from the home test........ she won't make too much and really deserves less that she'll get.

| 2 things people found once booked in jail: they found they needed medicine they found God both of which they didn't have need of before jail. Anyway....she will make a chunk of change even though I doubt it can be proven in any way being incarcerated caused a miscarraige. She is black She was pregnant One the jail knew, the other it failed to find out. Both of those factors will make the County not want to fight this in court. It will be sttled out of court for much less than it would cost them in court.
