In regards to the looting, that's why I'm proud to be a true Kansan. The thought had never occured to me until these dummies brought it to my attention. I think it speaks greatly to our state, or at least part of our state, that it didn't turn into a great free for all over there! I see it all the time where a disaster hits and soon everybody is taking everything they can get their hands on. Why just today, the news showed a lady who had stashed her life savings in an envelope. Not only was she lucky that the tornado didn't blow the $700 into South Dakota, but also that no one was around looking for stuff to steal. That's why I'm proud to be from Kansas.

KWCH - Kansas News and Weather - Greensburg Tornado
Authorities revealed the names of five of the tornado casualties from the Greensburg tornado. The victims are:

• Claude Hopkins, 79
• Larry Hoskins, 51
• David Lyon, 48
• Colleen Panzer, 77
• Ron Rediger, 57

Some of those names seem familier, but its been awhile since I spent any reasonable time in Greensburg.

If ya'all hear any news on the sheriff's deputy in Stafford Co (Macksville), please let me know, will you? Wichita news reported he'd died, but that was incorrect, as another Wichita station was interviewing his family at the same time.

There are many things they could be charged with. From what I draw from the news is that they wore their uniforms to gain access so it was probably planned. These bastards should be given the max sentence for whatever they will be charged with. NOT only are they a disgrace to the uniform and all that it represents they are a disgrace to humankind.

That looting really sent me into a fit of anger. I can't believe they would not only steal but pretend to be helping to have access to the empty town.

I just read in an article that there has been a page set up for families to check on family members. If you know any Greensburg folks, encourage them to fill out a report that they are okay.

I was at the gym tonight and they had on CNN and a man named Norman Voltz was on talking about losing his wife and how he had found her in the hallway and knew she wasn't going to make it. The sound was off and I was reading the closed captioning but I nearly lost it on the stationary bike. I feel like I want to buy a plane ticket and fly home to help but once I got there I'm not sure what I could do.

My older cousin took out to Greensburg that night with his bobcat and his high school daughter that has a CNA. He spent the night digging people out and clearing roads and she spent the night riding ambulances. I'm so proud of how people immediately jumped in to help.

I saw on the news last night that he was alive but on life support, KWCH had a picture of his car on the news extremely torn up! But sadly today I see that he has passed.
