Koolade Stand - DodgeBoard.com

Didn't know where to post this but it concerns the laws of DC so here goes. Do kids have to have a permit to open a koolade stand?

The kids across the street (in Overland Park) have had a few kool aid stands - even one or two to support the troops. Only once did they get told to fold their tent by police due to no permit. I guess you have to have one if you get caught, but c'mon....who's gonna turn in a little kid. (I think it was bad neighbors up here - they didn't live in the neighborhood long.....)

As long as they are selling Kool-Ade....and nothing else!! - I dont think it would be a problem. I would like to think we have better things to do with our time than worry about Sally making a couple bucks to put in her piggy bank! I think we would then have to shut down all the kids that mow yards during the summer, because they arent collecting taxes for the city.

If they can sell tacos out of stands all over town (plus who knows what else), are they going to stop some little kids from selling "kool-aid"?? If so, then I am definitely moving out of this town!!

Not all taco stands in Dodge are operating illegally. I frequent the one on Second beside Leonard Tire. While they are cooking out of a trailer, they also are using (probably renting) part of the building to the south. Also, the trailer looks to be permanently mounted there - not like the roving onces that come out on weekends. I also know they have a city license to sell their food.

BTW...the gringas and tortas are mouthwatering tasty treats!

I know, I know, NLIRG. I have heard some good reviews on that one, and I think I know the fellow that owns it. He has been in DC for quite some time now.
