I don't trust the media. Nothing against Eric, but everyone knows the Connie Chung ordeal. Where do you draw the line about trust? Who is the final word about what is pertinent?

I do know many things that are happening around town, just because of my job. I continually tell my family to be smart. Keep doors locked, don't trust everyone, etc.

They don't know what is going on, but I can tell them to be careful.

Did you ever think the police didn't want you, him or the entire town to know that he was a suspect?
This is the exact type of case that should remain private until all the pieces of the investigation fall into place.

The link you posted was the Wichita PD using the media to help them find a dangerous suspect. It appears they already had a case built against him.
Now, in the case of the DCPD not releasing info. regarding their murder investigation...
Did it ever occur to you, that maybe they were still building theirs??

I think L.E. should use the media to help solve crimes, e.g. crimestoppers.
Getting paid to provide info. used to solve crimes, what more motivation would John Q. need???

Ya'll watch too many cop shows - cops have to follow the law too. They do have to protect the accused and the victim all at the same time. Ya know when cops come on here and tell ya how it works you accuse them of bein the bad guys. No wonder they don't tell ya much. They are just doin thier job. I thought this issue was sleepin cause the Globe did thier job and started reporting like they should have been all along.

So who is the complaint with? The cops for not violating someone's rights? or the Globe for not printing something to satisfy your curiosity while at the same time opening them up for civil action?

I bet you are getting all you are gonna get unless ya wanna join the force and be part of the process.

Too bad tho I feel sorry for ya'lls cops - don't look like they get much respect.
