I'm happy to hear the outcome. Maybe some of our gang bangers will get the message and move to Dodge! Kidding aside, how is that going to deter any other drive-by's? I understand that most of them up here aren't solved, so it speaks well for the police department that they solved that one. Too bad the county attorney chose to minimize that good work with a slap on the wrist. Up here, we send those folks to hell for a number of years if we catch 'em.

Not to say anything bad about our locals, just the system. I was B.S.in with another one of D.C.'s old finest,. We started talken about one of piece of crap we sent to prison 3, yes 3, times. during our 11 years of working the street. 3 prison terms in 11 years, one lucky guy or one porr system!

I see in todays Globe that Jason Myers was charged with "attempted murder" for shooting into an occupied vehicle. What makes this case different from Vargas's case? Is it the same person?
