| I know every one is having fun here but I think the real problem today with the bangers is that the parents are not held resposible (sp) for their own kids these days. You have to start with discpline (sp) at a young age like starting at birth and not wait until they are teenagers and tell the police I can't control them help me. To late now for help now. Already been in a gang for years and it is their ownly family now. Back in the day if iI was out after dark on a school night (unless I was working a job to help feed my family) I would be in serious trouble with mom. When the Gang Officers contact the parents about their gang banger kids they just act most times as they dont care about it. They just want to work and make money. We need laws that will hold parents responsible for their kids actions until they are 18. Maybe we should do more civil cases against the parents and force them to pay for waht their kids are doing. This would not make a difference what the CA does here. Yes I know sometimes kids do things even though the kid is normally good. A parent can not always be with the kid but they need to teach the kids good moral and lawful judgments before they are teenagers. Well enough of my soap box and good luck to you all . Just try to help law enforcement because they do care and really love to catch the taggers even if nothing does happen. (They file lots of paper because of these pukes and they love them caught.) |

| Back when PD was in the building above Boot Hill a stolen car was parked in the PD parking lot for about three days before they found it.

| I'm probably painting with a very wide stereotypical brush here but I would say MOST of the bangers parents(parent) could give a shit less. A portion of them are probably illegal. They come here breaking the law and CONTINUE to break the law because it's what they do. They are criminals from the second they step a foot across our border....why stop being a criminal there? The criminal aliens are taught from the get go to rob, steal and grift their way through life....and being in a gang just reinforces those teaching but on a more organized level..... There are good parents in this town and it shows with their kids but there are probably more parents that could give a sh*t less about their kids. Show up at a parent/teacher conference at the high school and see how many parents show up to find out how their kid is doing.

| Vandals 'tag' police dept. with graffiti Chief says graffiti was gang-related; city officials cracking down on the problem. By Jon Ruhlen - The Hutchinson News - jruhlen@hutchnews.com DODGE CITY - City officials here have been scratching their heads over how to deal with the graffiti problem. And then this weekend, vandals launched the ultimate insult when they spray painted the side of the Dodge City Police Department. "We got tagged," Police Chief John Ball said. "We're going to get it taken care of, like we suggest everybody does. That's my only comment on the situation." "The city is in the preliminary stages of appointing a task force to deal with the problem." OK...the Chief says they are going to get it taken care of...but doesn't comment on how...you know why? HE DOESN"T KNOW...because the CITY is still in the PRELIMINARY stages of "appointing a task force" to deal with the problem....UGH. IN OTHER WORDS...THEY HAVE NO PLAN and it's STATUS QUO. Welcome to the sanctuary city where ANYTHING GOES....It's the wild wild west....

| "One tag declared "It's are way." Who's screw up was that?? The tagger or the papers.... w/ dodge citys great schooling it could be anyone!!! The least these "taggers" could do is at least put a sentence together correctly or make the graffiti pretty to look at!! I know plenty of graffiti artists (that get the permission needed) in colorado that I would pay to put a piece up, but the crap around here just gives real graffiti art a bad name. I remember when I first came back to Dodge I seen "Brown Pride" in big bold letters on Central School!!!! Yeah that shows great pride and respect ![]()

| The actual tag said "It's are way." I saw it before they covered it up.

Good answer! I like it. On a similar note with the gang activity. I recently had gall bladder surgery and my first day back to work was Friday Sept. 28th. I worked from 6:30am - 6:30pm. When I arrived home from work I found that my house was broken into; had a shotgun, a couple of pistols, dvd player, digital camera, handheld police scanner, many DVD's and several other items stolen sometime during the day. Around $3000 worth of items stolen. I have several days off coming up and I will be staking out some tagging hot spots with my night shot video camera and my cell phone for a call to the police!
