Nobody said to leave it out for a little bit. Just covering it up and doing nothing else is ignoring the problem. It is a reactive stance. Get proactive and put up cameras to tape them in the act for identification purposes. Better yet, stake out the problem area with a "nightshot" camcorder, maybe a spotlight, a phone to call the police and a weapon for your personal protection (if it is on your property). That makes it proactive, you're actually doing something to put an end to the problem instead of just reacting to the problem once it has already happened by just covering it up.

Basically, I think we're all on the same page.

1) We all agree there's a problem. 2) It's going to take more than just the police to clean up our community. 3) We as citizen need to step up to the plate by keeping an open eye, not just on our own place but our neighbors' also. Talk to your neighbors and get to know them, let them know you can and will be watching out for them also. And hopefully they'll return the favor. 4) Call the police when we see anything that doesn't look right.

Together, we CAN make the difference between a community of apathy and one of pride and working together!
