Matt Down Road

What is the speed limit on Matt Down Road? It is not marked. Is it in the city limits?

matt down is 55mph and it's in the county.

I thought the east side (northbound) from wyatt was city (if it is the speed limit is 35)

i was told the cemetary east is city and the matt down west is county

I go around 40 to be on the safe side I don't go on that road much, but haven't seen a sign posting the speed limit.

When I was little there was an underground (I just called it flat) house on Matt Down Road where I so wanted to live. I just thought that saying I lived on Matt Down Road sounded cooler than say 3rd* and saying I lived in a flat house on Matt Down Road was even cooler than that.

*I did not actually live on 3rd. Stop trying to remember everyone you knew that lived on 3rd to see if I might be them! I'm not. I'm anonamouse.

I've always thought that road existed solely for people who:

a) live on West Park Street and want to get to Walmart quickly
b) want to pawn something to raise some money
c) want to spend outrageous amounts going down the same water slide for 2 hours
d) have hours to kill playing golf (an eliteist sport in my opinion, which takes up WAY too much land)
e) want to visit their dearly departed in Maple Grove Cemetery

or

f) live in the north of town and have had 1 too many drinks at the Longhorn (formerly The Dodge House Saloon) to safely drive back through town.

Aside from that, there is the fantastically named "Memory Lane" to the very north of Matt Down Road. Who among us hasn't wanted to take a trip down Memory Lane? :-)
