Add that with the sentence to count #2 and I'm guessing it'll be close to 30 in reality. I doubt he would be able to stay away from having some scuffles while in custody (assuming he doesn't die of "natural causes").

| Congratulations to DA John Sauer and KBI agents LaRue, Kendricks, and Knockmann. You have convicted a man solely on a statement in a time of duress. You had no evidence to support your claims that Chris Tahah was at Erin Jones’ house the morning of May 5th. At least twice Agent Larue was asked if there was any evidence that Chris Tahah could be linked to the death of Erin Jones. Peter Orsi asked “Of all the evidence you collected and sent to the lab for further testing, is there any evidence that links Chris Tahah to the death of Erin Jones? Agent LaRue, “not to my knowledge” In fact, during the whole trial, of all the bags of evidence the prosecution had, not one item was linked to Chris Tahah and to the death of Erin Jones. All the evidence seized was explained to be linked purely by the speculation and imagination of the KBI and the DA. They didn’t establish a time of death. They didn’t prove that the gun used was in fact a .270 rifle. They didn’t prove that the bullet was a round fired by a .270 rifle. The only thing they proved that was that Chris Tahah was an emotional wreck after learning of the death of Erin Jones. You can say all you want of the so called confession, but confessions are made all the time to law enforcement. Then it’s up to law enforcement to sift through the evidence to see if what the confessor said lines up with the evidence. KBI dropped the ball on this part. Peter Orsi asked “Of all the evidence you collected and sent to the lab for further testing, is there any evidence that links Chris Tahah to the death of Erin Jones? Agent LaRue, “not to my knowledge". Chris Tahah was convicted solely on words and words alone. There was no evidence! Dodge City, the person responsible for the death of Erin Jones is still walking the streets. And an innocent man is in jail. |

| If he did not do it, then why did he flee the state and then run from the cops in Colorado. Innocent people do not run from the cops. Only people that are guilty run from the cops.

| Normally I might agree with you.......but this was a basic case. Dead body, ex-boyfriend, ex-boyfriend runs away, gets in car chase in Colorado in stolen car, confesses with accuracy to what happened. You do not need a time of death to the minute since he didn't have an alibi for the time she was last seen alive to the time she was found dead. If you want to go with a confession made during duress.....then he must be the dumbest ex-cop in the world. First thing you do when being questioned---"I want a lawyer". He confessed because he wanted to get it off his chest then changed his story (which was the worst try at spinning and dodging I have ever heard) at trial. Sorry, but this time it was the right verdict.
