So-----what did balistics say the bullet was then? I can garuntee if it came back as something else his lawyer would present that. Maybe they could not determine what the bullet came from? CSI is TV, not reality. What the pathologist thought was based on an educated guess of the scene. He/she could be wrong about high/low caliber because it is based upon where the shot came from, what it passed through, etc......
Since there was no listing of exactly what the bullet came from, then I would guess they do not know due to the damage to the bullet.

He had means
He had motive
He had opportunity
He confessed with exact detail

Whether Chris's parents decide to appeal or not is irrelevent in this case.

The only thing I want is to find out for myself once and for all exactly what the truth is. I think that's what everyone as far as Chris's family wants.

I haven't known Chris that long.....infact I've only met him once or twice.

I have nothing to lose or gain in defending him. All I'm saying is in the courtroom the evidence was not there. Even according to the KBI agents that were present said they found nothing that linked Chris to the crime. If he did it he KBI should have been able to place him at the crime scene.

What about shoe prints?

If the KBI could have shown the court one thing that linked Chris to the scene I would have been in with the rest of you and said yes he did it he deserves whatever he gets, but I was there they did not.

I think the jury had him convicted before he even got there. For a fair trial I don't think the trial should have been held in Dodge City.

........and administrator I am right now using the same pc as Where's the evidence but I assure you I am of no relation to Chris Tahah and I will be the first to tell you that I thought he was guilty when this began on Monday but for those of you who might have been there in the courtroom through the trial know that the KBI proved nothing.

Who know I may later find out differently that I have been blind sited but for now and the information that I have and the lack of evidence the KBI brought to the table......HE IS INNOCENT......in my books

If he confessed in detail to what happened then to my mind that means he either did it, or knows who did, and the exact circumstances of how, and is protecting the real killer.

Your books don't mean anything. The official court records mean everything and the official records say that he is guilty. Unless it is overturned in an appeal that is the way it is. HE IS GUILTY.

All i've read on this site since last May when she died was a bunch of rumors and false accusations. Only in January did i begin to see some factual, albeit not much, but some factual information.
The facts are this: Chris Tahah was convicted solely on his words.Nothing more nothing less.
Someone wrote that when a person confesses to a crime and they give an accurate account as to what happened then, case closed he's guilty.
That is not this case here. The information giving to the KBI is a fabrication and they made it fit they way they wanted it to.
As i stated before: Where's the evoidence that he used a .270 rifle?
There was none. Why was there no evidence that a 270 rifle was used?
Furthermore, had a 270 been used. Why didn't the prosector present the ballistics report that it was the weapon used?
He told them he used a 270, should be pretty easy i would think.
They had the gun, they had the rifle, they had the bullet.
Yet no lab tests proved that a 270 was used.

They weren't even looking for a 270 rifle when they made there intial search. They were after a low-caliber weapon as stated by the pathogist in the trial. Only after Chris gave them his "confession" did they start looking at the 270 rifle.
The facts are clear, i'm sorry if this hurts the good citizens of Dodge City,
but there is no evidence that a 270 rifle was the cause of death.
The real tradegy in this whole thing is that Erins parents will have to go through another trial. Why? Because the KBI dropped the ball.

When the confession matches what happened or when evidence is persented that clearly states that a 270 rifle was the weapon used, then and only then will i believe that Chris Tahah is guilty.

I've read where at least one member of your board through out false accusations that Chris Tahah was involved in a rape. What a load of crap that was. She stated that she was going to the KBI shorty after that happened. If that's the type of people you would like commenting on your board, so be it.

Look tigre and whatever your other sockpuppet name is, I am not the one who said he raped anyone BUT I DAMN WELL KNOW that this same guy we are discussing did take advantage of at least 3 if not more girls at Youthville where he worked. I know he did one for a fact, I witnessed him in the process of that one and another; however I was gone when he was trying to get on the third one(I had my suspicions on that one before I left). I think there was another one but I am tired right now and can't remember at the time. BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT THIS GUY WAS A YOUTHCARE WORKER FOR TEENAGE GIRLS AND HE WAS TRYING TO HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THEM!!! I know for a fact he did start dating one of the girls after she left; however, she was 18 at that time BUT the fact remains he was a Youthcare worker and this was very unprofessional and unethical not to mention UNMORAL that he would do this. this was someone these young MESSED UP girls trusted to help them, NOT MESS THEM UP ANYMORE. And no I did not end up going to the KBI over this and I will tell you why...These girls were victimnised enough by this sick bastard; I did not think they needed to be put in anymore crap that he caused. I also believe that as sick and twisted he is and as sick as they were, they might not be able to handle something like this. I know one of them would say all she knows and do it well. If he appeals I know just the person to call to have him step in on this. I know he would. I know he knows how to get ahold of this other girl.

Look I feel sorry for both families involved, but this guy hurt alot of people along his destructive sick and twisted path. I liked Chris as a friend at one time and thought he was a nice guy. His taste for young girls in their teens made me think different.

So, are you just someone that watches a lot of CSI then or something?

You know law enforcement doesn't really ride up to the scene in Humvees and designer suits that they keep spotless during the investigation.
You're really looking for some magic blade of grass on the sneaker that can be burned in a bunsen burner or tube to show mineral deposits, etc?

Tahah confessed, then ran from police. Had motive, and opportunity. He also had a shell from the shooting that he kept in a special box. Then his "alibi" new story about knowing Erin was shot because he reconnoitered her house with binoculars by standing on the frontage road north of HWY 50 was shown to be completely bunk because KBI took photos all up and down that road and you could'nt see in her yard at all.

There's no legal requirement that you tie a defendant to a crime scene through forensic evidence, just that you prove the crime was perpetrated.

Officer testimony and circumstantial evidence IS evidence. Remember it's proof beyond a REASONABLE DOUBT. Not ANY doubt. I think you're conflating the two.
