| Something to the affect that he was down in the dumps over the whole "situation" with his girlfriend...then it was followed up with a bunch of comments by cops/friends wishing him a quick recovery over the whole "situation". Then there was some crazy song that was full of violent wording about getting back at those that "wrong you". I saw it. Many of us looked at it. It was very strange, indeed. You would have thought it would have been called into the trial. It would have showed he was admittedly in turmoil over his love-life and it would have showed he was angry at the situation.

| I agree.......closing the thread accomplishes nothing. Having been a private investigator for quite a few years, I would tell you that if anyone takes your money to investigate this......it is money lost and they are taking you for a ride. To get an appeal you have to: prove or show the counsel was incompetant (highly unlikely) produce new evidence not discoverable at time of trial (not likely) prove that a states witness lied Also, they will dig up EVERYTHING from his past. Trust me, if there is even one shred of truth to the youthville thing, it will come out. I'm with Fam on this one.....talk to him and get him to tell you the truth. If you accept his version, then so be it. I do not whole heartedly trust juries, but in this case the evidence you wish to discredit points to him and him alone.

| [quote=banyon;69328]The evidence (in 55+ exhibits + testimony) Means: Chris having Winchester rifle of consistent caliber that killed Erin. Chris having round saved in a Chinese puzzle box consistent with the murder bullet. Chris trying to explain it away that it was his "bullseye at the target range" (normal people would save the target). Police seeing rifle bolt in Chris's apartment and then it disappears when they come back (thus, making ballistics impossible as Chris would know). Chris throwing shoes that he had worn many times a week suddenly away (because there might be mineral samples on them). The 270 rifle was means, however there was no bolt to that weapon. The KBI in open court said that when they did the intial search that the bolt was present in the house and that they took pictures of it. The bolt was found in a glock pistol box according to them. After Chris was captured in Colorado they went back to the apartment to seize the 270 and the bolt. However, they claim the bolt was not there. They have pictures of every weapon that Chris owned and pictures of the glock boxes. Yet somehow they don't have pictures of the bolt when they did the intial search. The reason given in court was that the mini-disc containing the missing pictures was damaged. Pretty convient that the bolt pictures were lost don't you think. What was found in the chinese puzzle box was a 270 spent casing. How is that consistent to the bullet used? It was never proven that a 270 rifle was the weapon used. Incidently, the target Chris used was saved. The shoes, he supposedly walked through a field, an alley way, and hid in bushes. On a stormy night wouldn't those shoes be wet? Wouldn't those shoes be soiled? Wouldn't there be footprints all about the house? After he supposedly throw the shoes away, if he had thrown them in the trash which contained, amonst other things, paper shreds, wouldn't the paper shreds have water markings on them when the shoes dried? There was no evidence that linked him to the crime, this includes the shoes. They jumped on the shoes because they were in the trash and they could make it fit. No evidence to support it but they could make it fit. |

The KBI did make at least 2 false statement in court, i won't go into detail on this. However it does concern their testimony on gunshot residue and the pictures they took of the back of the house. Btw, who is whinning? |

| Maybe I'm guilty of watching too many Forensic Files Episodes but why would getting rid of the bolt make bullitstic impossible? Couldn't you replace it and then match the rifling on the slug? Unless the slug that killed her was damaged beyond examination. I guess then they would need the bolt to compare markings onthe casing. And you're right about keeping the target. I have my first quarter sized group with my .223 on the wall but the brass has been reloaded.

He kept the spent casing of the shell which he used to hit the target in the chinese puzzle box which is also a place where he kept keepsakes. All the items in the box where of sentimental value to him. And of course he kept the target for the very same reason. |
