Tahah being charged with 1st Degree murder!

DodgeCity.com: Dodge Globe: Local News: Stories

He is being chaged now with 1st degree. That is more like it. Once again the SOB is trying to lie his way out of something. I hope he doesn't get away with it this time like he has before. Make no mistake to all that was or are his friends, he is not the nice guy you all think he is. He fooled me too.

What I cant understand...and I heard it all over the news tv stations this weekend....

People being charged with first degree "felony" murder. Now, I am not a lawyer, but I do know something about laws...and I dont think anyone has ever been charged with first degree "misdemeanor" murder...vehicular manslaughter is a misdemeanor...but murder in the first degree? Maybe they just say it because it sounds so much more impressive? "Not only is he being charged with first degree murder...but it is FELONY level also!!"?!?!?!?

I get your point.

First degree muder is the most serious of all crimes, of course it'll be a felony! Seems kinda stupid to include that in the charge title, is if that were worse than....well, anything else...

He's guilty! Fry HIM!!

a definition of Felony Murder

Felony Murder
An unlawful homicide that occurs in the commission or attempted commission of a felony, which is considered first degree murder by operation of this doctrine. In many modern statutes, only homicides that occur in the course of certain specified felonies are "felony murders." For example, if someone burned down a warehouse and thereby committed arson, which resulted in the death of a person in the building, the arsonist is guilty of first degree murder ("felony murder") even if he did not know of the presence of the person and he had taken special precautions to try to avoid any loss of life.
