If you are going to set up a DUI check point why not do it on the busiest street. (assume it's Wyatt Earp) In order to do a DUI checkpoint they have to apply for special funds ect so they probably want the biggest bang for their buck. They could set one up way up north and maybe catch 1 white guy or they could set one up on Wyatt Earp by all the clubs and bars and catch anyone they can.

Doing it on Wyatt Earp is getting your biggest bang for your buck. The PD has to pay extra to set up check points.

Again...look at the demographics of the grade school/middle school and high school. This should be a pretty good indication of demographics.

DUI’ s are an easy target. We still have a gang problem and we still have unlicensed/uninsured drivers. I doubt these problems will ever be successfully addressed by Chief Ball.

That's a good point...it's like throwing the public a bone...saying look what we are doing but in reality not addressing the REAL problems.
