exactly right, monster. if you are in law enforcement uniform, whether on duty or not, you need to act professionally at all times. your behavior either is a positive for you entire organization, or it is a BIG negative. the bad judgement of one can hugely effect how the whole group is perceived.
i don't want to go out anywhere and have to listen to foul mouthed spouting by anyone--but if you are in uniform and supposed to be a professional and respected, that is even more distasteful to me. yes, you certainly have the right to say it, but what about my right to not to have to listen to it? and what about the image you are putting out there?
