You had plenty of options and just won't admit it. So no.
Not as long as you keep posting this kind of false bravado.
"OH if there'd have just been one more person there I might have________"
blah
All blabbering and NO action.
you know what PROBABLY would have happened if you had politely pointed out the those officers that their language was over the top for you?
ANYONE..?
Anyone..?
anyone?
My guess is they would have apologized and then been more careful. But since you couldn't muster up the courage to ask, we may never know.
You could have asked for their names or taken the number off of their car and call their supervisor....not that it would have probably done any good. That is a total lack of professionalism by a public servant. If I had a complaint about one of my recruiters doing that they would get jacked up by me first and then have them go to the person and apologize if that was possible.
I was gonna stay completely out of this one, but ya all know by now I don't take the easy road...Wordie needs another pill and I think that the guys' language, if it was over the top, needed some attention. If you'd stopped by their table and asked them to tone down either the language or the volume, I bet they'd have obliged. (then they'da snuck out the back door to write down your tag

If I am out with my wife and daughter and someone was using that language I would ask them politely to refrain in front of the lady. If they didn't I would ask the manager to assist. The fact that they were in uniform does not only not excuse them from the rules but it makes it worse. That's YOUR tax dollars at work.
You could still probably call it in. I would bet they have a log of who was on duty and was eating at what time......
Simple thing would have been to get their attention and just say "guys" while shrugging your shoulders. They would have got the hint and toned it down. While I do not condone it, it is par for the course. I still have problems with my language and i have been out of law enforcement for 11 years now.
If you call the station and tell a supervisor, politely, then he/she will take care of it.
There is a very obvious difference between pissing in a pool and pissing into a pool. Politicians can't seem to tell that.
Because it was the 3 law enforcement officers, my wife and I, and (staff aside) two other adults in there and that was it. I would have said something if children were around, but honestly didn't because there wasn't. When I'm around friends and there are no children around I can be a potty mouth too.
Oh, what's the point of arguing with you? You've already made up your mind so it's a waste of time.

It has been my experience (through someone who deals with Ford Co. S.O.'s), depending on how you said it, that you would find yourself with a ticket some time in the near future. Now I'm going to log off before they have a chance to track my location and start tailing me waiting for me to miss a stop or not use my turn signals properly.
"Whatever Congress wishes to give, it has to first take other people's money. Thus, at the root of the welfare state is the immorality of intimidation, threats and coercion backed up with the threat of violence by the agents of the U.S. Congress. In order for Congress to do what some Americans deem as good, it must first do evil. It must do that which if done privately would mean a jail sentence; namely, take the property of one American to give to another."
