I agree 100%. I've been saying this for a LONG time...even before I got the hell out of Dodge.

The thing is....why don't YOU people as Dodge City residents continually BLOW UP THE PHONES at City Hall and email daily. Your vote counts. Vote someone in that will do something. Get rid of the commissioners. Last election ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION wasn't even a topic...and the gang problem was barely mentions as was crime. They (commissioners) don't want to talk about that stuff because it's a failure. You as citizens can MAKE them talk about it...MAKE it an issues. Email is free and it's quick.

Or you could take up the local side communities on their offers.. Minneola is looking for fine upstanding citizens. Hell they're willing to give you 10k tax credit if you bring your happy self over here and set up shop in one of our fields.

I believe quite a few other communities have the same little perks. The height of violence about these parts comes down to domestic drunken violence, and a few kids that like to shaving cream each other on halloween.

No little bangers about here.. they'd probably be shot on sight.

Sure it's a 20 minute commute to Dodge, but you're already spending so much on broken windows..

I didn't know about the 10k tax credit. I did see a commercial on TV about a 10 year property tax rebate though.

TexKan, I honestly do not know. It may be as simple as those who do this, know that I, nor the police can not do one thing, unless they are caught red handed. Other that this, I know of no reason. It could be initiation, or something of this such. Or, it could be as simple as the little thug that lives just North of me! I am about 80 to 90% sure, that it is the little thug. Yet I can not prove this at all. Just a an educated guess on my part. Why this little jerk, or other jerks do this, is beyond me. FUN? How could it be? When I was a kid, the worst thing we did, was throw snowballs at cars! And the odds of us even hitting a car was astronomical! And if we did, it did no harm to the car at all. What I would like to know, is where is the parents of these criminals at. Do they not miss them when they are out late at night doing these crimes? If they do not, why not? When caught, the child and the parents should be held responsible! It is just beyond me why they are not caught at some point in time! I do not blame the Police, I blame those commissioners who are in office, not doing their jobs in making sure that those who are suppose to protect the citizens, have all they need to do this. Time to vote out the whole damn bunch of them and get those in there who have OUR best interest at heart, and do whatever is necessary to make sure this community is safe, and not a haven for the illegals and the criminals. To me, they are one in the same. If they have chosen too break that law, then they have no problems breaking any other laws of this country. Why do those elected officials not see this the same way? Makes me wonder what the heck their agenda's really are!
