I heard the same thing! I heard the dog was in its own yard and the other 2 dogs came up in the yard and tore him to pieces. I'll tell you one thing my dogs are like my own kids and I couldn't and wouldn't sit back and let this go by without doing a thing about it, I would fight it to the end, so I hope and pray these folks will do the same thing for the love of their animal. What if it would of been a child or even an adult? I wish those folks all the luck in the world and give my deepest sympathy for the death of their family pet. |

| I think it would be open season on those 2 dogs IF that is what happened...... bucklin ain't so big that ya can't find dogs......... I wouldn't think that any job would protect you from prosecution..... maybe there's more to the story. Like maybe the wenner dog got in the fence with the rotties.???????????......... but if not - I'd have mounted rotties above the fireplace by nightfall.

| Definitely too bad when you can't let your dog out to piddle for fear of getting him torn to pieces! If nothing is done about the dog that did the attacking, then I'd either find myself a new home or start target practice. Nothing's safe if that dog will attack another and tear it to bits. Too bad for the owners and I hope they weren't watching.

| I was told the daughter was watching and she called the brother screaming and yelling. I don't know if she was outside or inside didn't ask that question when I was told about this. It is a very sad ordeal and I hope something is done about this it is just wrong so wrong. |

Too bad for the little dog and it's owners. I have to agree, pets are like part of your family. I don't know why anyone would want to own breeds like pit bulls, Rottweilers, etc. They are only bred for one thing. Does Bucklin have an ordinance? Seems like dogs get away with too much stuff out in the county. |

| Well I know for a fact that the family filed a report. They called the in town cop and he went over and talked to the lady who lives there but they were in such a hurry to rush their beloved pet to the vet in dodge that they had the Sheriff meet them there. The sheriff met them there took down there names address what not, took a statement from the daughter. That is all was done. The police didn't do anything about it. The owners of the rotts still have them both in their yard when the police should have taken them away from them for ten days and then decided if they would put them asleep or not. But the law didn't do anything. Which is really sad. What is really rude and unproffessional is that the neighbors of the family, the people with the rotts didn't even apologize to the family. They acted as if it wasn't a big deal. The family had, had the weiner dog for a little over 12yrs it was like another child in the family. I know the family is not just going to let those people get by with letting their rotts out and letting them kill the weiner dog. But it's really sad that the law wouldn't do anything about it. I mean what if next time it is a small child?.... |
