| Trip To Mexico Hey all.....I'm going to Mexico in JULY for about a week. I'm going to Durango and would like to know if anyone else here has been to Mexico and if they have any tips to give me...It would be greatly appreciated. If anyone wants a good Cuban Cigar let me know! LOL

| I am going to drive. Was going to take my Mustang but think I will rent a car instead for the week. I'm going with an American but she speaks Spanish. Does that make her an Amiga? She's been to Mexico before.

| I believe you'd have a lot easier time if you would get on the local bus to Mexico. Bus and taxi service it great in Mexico. Affordable, too. Amiga? Or Novia?

| Just don't drink the water. And make sure you have some change for the bathrooms. At a lot of places, the bathrooms are free, but not the TP.

| Also, make sure if you are renting a car that your insurance company will cover the car in Mexico or purchase extra insurance that is valid in Mexico. I've heard you need cash too. A horror story from a guy I work with drove his truck pulling a boat to Mexico to go fishing and scuba diving, when he got near the border to come home he had to pay several hundred dollars (bribe) to come back with his boat. It was either pay the money or unhook the boat. The police in Mexico are known to be very corrupt. Also, if you have any kind of a wreck while driving in Mexico, it's your fault no matter what.

| Also check to see if you take your own car, make sure it covers mexico too. Most don't, but you can buy insurance at the border that will cover you while your there.
