I guess a lot of things are hard to understand over the internet. When i made the reference to sarcasm i was hinting at this quote, because it seemed to me that you took it literally. I wasnt referring to you being sarcastic. Hopefully this clears up any confusion on either side.

He was in Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills, was solo for awhile with his bigggest hit probably being "Heart of Gold," hooked up with Stephen Stills again when Crosby Stills & Nash became Crosby Stills Nash & Young.

I think his biggest hit was "Southern Man", which was also an anti type song. Which led to him being included in "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynard Skynard which was in response to his song. He basically is usually making some sort of statement against some establishment in most of his music. More power to him. To bad watching him perform live is like watching an epileptic on ludes----------

I'd like to say i'm not reawakening a sleeping dragon but i probably am lol, oh well.

Tex, you say you don't like artists coming out and saying how the feel about things. How about Bob Dylan's song "The Hurricane" released in 1975? His song made aware the position that Rubin Carter was in and I would say that the attention he brought to the case helped free the innocent man. He was finally dismissed of the indictments in 1988. So to say that artists should keep their mouths shut about things isnt that correct of a statement.

They aren't doin the thinkin, just offering their opinion...and in Dylan's case the facts.

Thought about a couple more things after the pm i sent ya tex, not a stab at ya, i just wanted to clarify my points publicly. But is it publicly if i don't sign a name?

Not sure....... I ALWAYS sign my name........... plus ya can tell who I am by the dot fettish in case I forget.

Now bout Dylan.......... I personally don't see how his opinion about Carter got him free............ his attorneys and a jury did that. I don't think a jury listened to his song during deliberations. Besides that is his opinion on a person not a sitting president. There's a big difference there to me. I didn't say they should keep thier mouths shut......... I said they should let us think for ourselves. They have an avenue that the ordinary Joe Blow doesn't - why should thier opinion gain more coverage than Joe's. After all it's your dollar and perhaps Joes that gave them the avenue to begin with. Think they would use that avenue with some respect............ again just my humble opinion. I don't make enough money to have my opinion on a CD or on ET. All I can tell ya is my $$ won't go to Young and his latest "running of the mouth"............. but hey you can spend all ya want. With his opinion - my vote says he otta live in the 5th Ward awhile - so he can REALLY see what it's like to be poor and not have a voice.

I just personally have never relied on someone that lives in a "hollywood fanatsy world"...... ya know the one with all the drugs ya can buy???......... make my political decisions for me. I consider that a serious responsibility and I wouldn't put it in the hands of the Kurt Kobains of the world just cause there are folks that made them wealthy. Hell most of em never even went past high school. I think I'll use my college education that I got by servin my country to make my decisions.......... I'm sure you can see my point here.....

Like I told ya in my PM......... sometimes your posts make me twitch...... that don't mean I am against everything you post. I actually half heartedly agree with some things. I see more of your posts on DCT than here - so that tells me maybe you should start postin more. I find your point of view interesting which makes me "think"..................... isn't that what this board is for???? It don't make ya a bad boy if not everyone sees eye to eye with ya.

And don't worry - I don't ruffle that easy............... and I'll always answer. Hell who knows - stick around I may even agree at some point......... luv to ya big guy!!................ and seriously - keep postin.......... I love em.......
