I certainly see where you all are coming from. I probably should not have assumed the information in the email was factual. I guess with all the unbelievable things we see in the news these days regarding the illegal immegration issues, nothing suprises me anymore.

This does not mean that I don't believe it could be true, I just can't verify it's validity.

On a lighter note, I did receive this one today and whether or not it's true it's a funny story...

I have a friend who is president of his homeowner's association down
in Washington D.C. They are having a terrible problem with trash on
the side of the road that is around his association's homes. The reason
according to Wallace (my friend) is, there is being built just next to
them, six new homes.....big ones! Wallace said the trash is coming from
the Mexican work crews working at the construction sites. (McDonald
Bags, Burger King trash, etc). He has pleaded with the site supervisors
and the general contractor to no avail, called the City,County, the
Police and got no help. So.................guess what some people in his
community did? They organized about twenty folks, named themselves The
"Inner Neighborhood Services" to go out at lunch time and "police" the
trash themselves. It is what they did while picking up the trash that
is HILARIOUS !! They got some navy blue baseball caps and had the
initials "INS" in gold put on the caps. It doesn't take a rocket
scientist, however, to understand what they hoped people would think it means.
Well the day after their first pick up detail, with them wearing their
caps and some carrying cameras; 46 out of 68,
of the construction workers did not show up for work the next
morning!!.............and haven't come back yet!! It has been ten days.
Now the General Contractor, I understand is madder than hell, but can't
say anything publicly, because he could be busted for hiring "illegal
aliens". Wallace and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating "INS"
folks, because they have it on their home owner association records the
vote to form the new committee within their association, plus they
informed the INS about what they were doing in advance, and the INS said
basically according to Wallace.............."have at it"!
SO FOLKS, I THINK YOU COULD SAY THAT AMERICAN INGENUITY TRIUMPHS AGAIN!

Thanks for not getting upset about the comments on your post Cally. That story could be true but there simply isn’t anything to back it up or to prove it false.

Now this other story is good because it might give some folks ideas. Keep those stories coming!

I'm sorrry Calli...... I wasn't directing my comments to you posting the story......... I'm glad you did post it. It made for interesting conversation. After all that's what this board is all about!! Please don't take my comments to mean I didn't think the post was worth posting. It certainly was!! I'm just a skeptic I guess. I read too much into what is said or not said.

The 2nd story to me is completely believable. Good for them that they had the forsight to actually vote the organization into thier HA. I just love this piece!! Some smart folks there!! I can relate to the trash that they seemed to find in thier neighborhood. I wish you could have seen the highways after the evacuation for Rita........ OMG it was just disgusting!! If you catch AC 360 when he does the border segments - he always notes the trash. The desert and border is full of trash cause these folks have no respect for themselves or the area they leave in their wake. They are like locusts....... take what they want and never look back.......... unless it's thier precious Mexico. Then they swell with pride. Altho they would sell mexico out for the right price.

I love the home owners ingenuity.......... yep just one damn good story!!

Again - I love your posts.......... please don't ever hesitate to post anything......... I don't think you should have to defend any post - when it comes to emails and such. I throw things out........ if they are held up to scrutiny....... I figger that I started a good thread........... hey look at the # of replies.............. it's kept a lot of us busy and made a lot of us wonder...... could that really happen????? Shameful if it did or could....... better to be aware of the possiblity or the fact than not be aware at all!! Tip of the bonnet to ya Calli!!!!!! Well hell would help if I spelled CALLY correctly!!
