I'd bet my entire 401-K that he's (unknownly but justifiably) eaten a few hawkers whilst receiving dirty looks....

I’ve been setting here for 10 minutes LMAO that someone would wait 20 minutes to get treated like crap and then stay to pay them for it.

Wordy sure showed them!

I worked in food service for a long time and I'm aware of what they do weeze.

I'm not terribly concerned with the hostess.

If they spit on my shrimp scampi then it cooked off and I didn't notice it.

I'm the youngest of 6 and we spit in our food to keep others from it when we left the table for anything.

But back to what the assaults the pro cancer folks get away with regularly in places the public is invited and where those same food service workers have to breathe their cancer causing agents on a daily basis.

The hostess is probably dating the manager...... they do lots of things to appease you to get the $$. They were probably laughin about it later. Point is you wanted your way - you got it - they got your money - you don't know what you got on your plate and your not concerned about what your kids got. Yeah....... that's showin em!

As far as being"invited"......... if your "invited" - you don't pay. It's choice that took you there.

I guess it’s just a different way of thinking. As a conservative I find out the smoking policies of restaurants, chose my preference and vote with my feet and $$$$. I have a pleasant experience and rarely have problems with a server.

You as a progressive Democrat go into a place with a policy that you don’t agree with, get into a confrontation with someone that doesn’t set policy and take satisfaction out of seeing the young lady have trouble with her boss. And the guy running the place got your money without changing his policy to suit you.

There’s a damn good reason why we don’t want Democrats running the country anymore.

And the sad part about this is that their wealth doesn't come from creation but from taxation.

I'll give wordy an A+ if the money he was spending came from his woodworkin' or photographin... cuz wealth creation is what America should be about.

I went into the place and worked within their policy. Designating booths 2 feet away from people willing to assault my health is bad policy.

I asked for a different place to sit and let her know why. She got pissy with me. There was no reason I should have to go to the bottom of the list and wait longer.

It was after she provided poor customer service that I asked to see the management.

When I went back this week to discuss it with the manager he explained that they smoking section is consitently empty and that they encourage the staff to seat people in there when they can.

He apologized for his employee and gave me a $20 gift card which I refused. I accepted his policy and asked what they intended to do about the smoking problem.

They are looking into making that section smaller and to include the bar and the seats I refused to occupy.

The hostess was written up and I take it she has a history of problems.

Just like you righties to jump to conclusions without details. That's what keeps you Bushbots in busines.

Don't be fightin' on my B-day!!! Be nice! I don't like the smoking policies in many restaurants, either....but I like the food and am willing to pay the price. I just refuse to be seated where the tobacco smell makes my food smell or taste bad. Nothing wrong with having your preferences stated. When you ask to be seated in non-smoking, you should be far enough away from the smokers that you don't feel like you're one of them. We've asked to be reseated at times when we find ourselves surrounded by a haze of smoke -and I've never been refused. I find it amazing that someone could be so cold as to do that. Musta really been a bad day for her. If she'll do it to Wordy, she has likely done it before and probably will continue to do it. And it really doesn't matter if Wordy was nice or not when he asked to be reseated. True, he's not a real invitee, but they do expect to reap some rewards from having him visit their restaurant. So that makes him king for that hour.
