| My 2 cents I think the Democrats have set themselves up for another big disappointment. The biggest problem, in my opinion, is being so out of touch with voters. As Liberals continue to dump America in the trash Conservative strength has grown and begin to come out of the shadows. Democrats have failed to realize Americans are reluctant to admit being conservative, but that is changing. The Democrats choice to sling mud at the president during 911 and war time will come back to byte them. There is nothing wrong with criticizing our leader during these time when America looks to unify, but it needs to be done tactfully and not as a wolf looking to feed on a wounded pray. One thing we all agree on is that America is in trouble. In times of uncertainty Americans tend to fall back on their roots for a sense of security. They tend to lean toward Conservatives. I consider myself the average Joe voter in that while I tend to lean toward the right, all things being equal, I cast my vote based on who I feel is best for the job. The problem I have with the left is I still have no idea what their plan is. If they spent just half the time and effort saying what they WOULD DO as they spend saying what our present administration is and has done wrong, they'd have 2008 in their pockets. Both sides are ignoring what America is saying. The immigration issue is a good example. Americans have made it very clear they want the boarders sealed AND the criminals sent packing. So far all we've heard is OK we will throw some money at the boarder idea but we just can't send all these potential voters... er immigrants back home. America is sick and tired of hearing the "they do jobs Americas won't do" crap-o-la. No one is buying that crap. The one with the balls to stand up and face the issue head on will get my vote. Speaking of facing issues head on. This is were Bush shines in my opinion. America wants leaders willing to make a stand be it popular or not. Again this reflects the troubled times we live in and a need for security. We want leaders who will say what they mean, and mean what they say despite the polls. America was ready a while back to give democrats a shot but they dropped the ball. I believe today Americans may not like what they see in the Republicans agenda but they will see it as the lesser of two evils. It could be a simple win for the left it they would only adopt a platform saying the present administration has done the best they can considering now here is what we need to do from this point on. But I believe that is beyond the capacity of the left. They prefer to run on the look whats screwed up platform. Oh, and no one is buying those anti-Bush propaganda videos, except maybe the left wing, I think they do more harm than good right now. It gives off the idea that Democrats think Americans are really stupid. Democrats biggest screw ups: Immigration issue Attacking the president at every opportunity during trying times for America Supporting the right to abuse the constitution Spend more time complaining about the present administration than what they would do. Not what they would have done but what they would do.

| I feel that Bush has made some mistakes as most presidents do. Some more than others. People beat him up about spending like a drunken sailor but in a war what are you going to do....DO a Kerry-Kennedy and not give the money to the DOD that is needed to fund the war? I will admit we could have probably wasted a lil less money on the Hurricane Katrina Roaches of New Orleans. The border situation is a tough one. Either choice that is made will alienate about 1/2 of the country. If whoever is elected president gets tough and "closes" the borders they better also ensure that the illegals here never get to vote or they are finished. Democrats confuse me as to what their message is. Their message to me is hate Bush. They point out what he has done wrong but offer no plan for a "fix". They hide their agenda in catchy phrases. They should be honest with the American people and come out and say things like..."we need to raise your taxes" and "we support same sex marriages". They talk about the war and how the troops need to come home but none of them have a realistic plan for that and won't say they would immediately pull out troops...they talk about a phased withdrawl...not much different from the Republican idea. I hope they (the Dems) put Hillary out there......we will defeat her easily.

| Gas prices will drop and it’s already started. It’s NOT a vast right-wing conspiracy. They normally fall after summer vacations are over because demand drops. There’s a few other factors at play here also. See story…… http://www.usatoday.com/money/indust...ice-usat_x.htm

She's whipped every republican thrown her way since her days in Arkansas, and swift boat style attacks on her will backfire faster then Georgie finding another excuse for invading Iraq. But Hillary is not going to get her 3rd and 4th terms starting in '08 because of her support for the "war". |
