| So true BF... so true. The problem's in the two party system. Fueled by all that MONEY we let them take from our earnings. Voting for one over the other won't fix anything. A Citizen's Initiative forcing a vote to withhold our "voluntary withholding taxes" from their spendy little fingers will begin to fix the system.

The IRS would be relentless in making your life a living hell ... they make sure to garnish wages... threatening to imprison, take you to the" all supreme court" and devistate your family until they get every red cent ... and to top it off ... attorneys are there to defend you and then they will take anything made in the future.. I think that no matter who are the powers that be at this time....vote for the other candidate.... or write in DONALD DUCK thats what democracy is isnt it..?? The ability to VOTE .... ohhhhh errrrr mmmmmm .... thats only if the machines are working properly.... All sarcasm aside.... SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE or when in ROME do as the ROMANS... let your civilization crash and burn... Never thought about any of this crap til recently....is it because I am older and pay attention now or is it REALLY FREAKING BAD.... all I seem to do these days when I catch the news...is shake my head and roll my eyes and sigh....It seems so overwhelming... ![]()

| A Citizen's (aka Popular) Initiative is Direct Democracy. With a required number of signatures, laws and even constitutional amendments can be put to a public vote and enacted. A very powerful option that's not emphasized enough in publick skrewl'z but is required knowledge to pass the US Naturalization test to become a Citizen. Kinda skerry ain't it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initiative

| Anything for a vote. The unified motto of the politician. Playing the game of politics has become a popular sport among the public allowing more and more Liberals to sneak their way into positions of influence and power. Now we pay the price. I guess I should have payed more attention in government class because I don't see us living in a democracy at all. Or at least my understanding of it. The immigration issue is a good example. It sure seemed to me that America in one strong voice said seal the boarders AND send the criminals home, yet our *cough* leaders, have the deciding power to overrule it. Even now, quietly behind our backs, Liberals and politicians are feverishly working to hand out papers to illegals in anticipation of Americans stand against the amnesty so far proposed. The next thing I expect to hear will be that there aren't as many "undocumented" immigrants as Americans thought. With all the "papers stations" being setup all over the country to handout legal status we may never know who was and wasn't here illegally.

Yeah, those liberals that are for amnesty and a work program and allowing the illegals to stay. Like Pres. Bush-R, Sen. McCain-R, Sen. Brownback-R, the Republican controlled Senate, for that matter, that voted for the amnesty bill.
