Self-defense is a privilege that governments may choose to grant or withdraw. You have no human right to self-defense. If a government does not impose repressive restrictions on gun ownership—more severe than even the laws in New York City or Washington, D.C.—then that government is guilty of violating international human rights.

So says the United Nations in its latest assault on the Second Amendment....

I sit on the old side of this fence. I don't want gun registration, owner registration or concealed carry permits because they are lists of people who chose to exercise their second ammendment right. I do want lists of those who have a history of violating the basic rights of citizens... and those on that list should be denied their second ammendment right.

Then we should teach our children all about cause and effect... either by instilling wisdom or by example.

I'm right there with ya, Lurker. AND I don't agree that the UN can make such unilateral decision within member countries. Yeah - they sit there with their 4 bodyguards and drivers. Give me the bodyguards and driver and I won't ever NEED a gun.
