| And what did you expect from our enemies? Sniggering, dismissive "raghead" or "muslimes" comments aside, our enemies are not stupid. They have seen and heard the Commander-in-Chief, OUR Commander-in-Chief, say that if Americans voted for a Democrat, it was the same as giving aid and comfort to our enemies. |

| I have no doubt the enemy is happy with this election, but not for the reasons they are willing to admit to. Honestly, I think they see this change in power as a softening America. They've proved while America talks big they aren't willing to commit for the long haul. Terrorist are simply bullies. They get their willies by terrorizing others. I think psychologically, it's a sign of an inferiority complex. In any case the best way to handle a bully is face to face, bully to bully. A lot of people view Americas stance as that of a bully without taking into consideration why. Well we haven't had a bully on our block since!!! Now we wait and see

| A terrorist bombing in Spain was successful in influencing their election and getting a policy change on Spain’s involvement in Iraq. There has been speculation that the increased violence in Iraq the last few months was an effort to influence our election and therefore our policy on Iraq. Quote:

| Not to worry Booger, the Democrats will welcome the new arrivals with open arms and some of our tax dollars to help them get started.

Even well before the election the veil of secrecy was coming off the Bush administration's handling of this thing, it got royally mucked up and now Bush the elder's advisor's is having to bail Bush the younger out. It isn't softening of America. If anything it's a significant portion of the American people looking around and seeing things are not as they were told to believe. That and the republicans unable to resist the same temptations of power that did the Dems in during the early 90's. And how come none of you guys who think we are going soft never mention the issues in Afghanistan when we had that thing locked up? That's where the war on terror is. Remember the folks who planned 9/11 are holed there. For the next two years Bush is still running foreign policy, now he has to answer for it but it's still his policy. And a friendly reminder, come January Pelosi's in line behind Cheney for the presidency. Think Georgie and Dickie are going to appear together anytime in the next two years? |

| The election of the Democrats will only prove a bad thing for me and my profession. Clinton nearly gutted the Armed Forces during his tenure, and I can see the same getting ready to happen again. As for Iraq, the bottom line is that Bush sent us (myself included) in there because of bad intel. Now that we are there, and dedicated to the cause, it doesn't matter if the invasion was a good idea or a bad one. We are there. The true question it all boils down to is, is can you force democracy on a people who have never had it, and are we willing to pay the price in blood for another countries freedom? I think its a known fact that if we pull out now, Iraq will collapse down on itself. There will be much more violent killings that what we see today. Yes, none of the casualties will be American, but there will be thousands of deaths. But if we stay, the deaths will be decreased, but they will be American deaths. On average, worst case senerio, about a hundred a month. This is the awful moral question we as a nation have to ask ourselves. Are we dedicated? Its not my place to say what is right or wrong. In my given profession I follow the orders of those apointed over me. But the American people choose those people. I hope they have chosen wisely. |
