How about he help himself? Don't lay the blame on the people of Dodge or the good people of this board. If he want's our support he needs to produce a product that the people are willing to eat. As I see it his survival is totally up to him.

I don't think so - he's probably already been educated by A & W on how to run a francise - I would be among the least of those who should try to tell him how to run his business. In short, he needs to dress like average Joe, sit in the eating area and listen. If people don't like the fries, he should make some of the changes they suggest. If they didn't get their food (hot) in a reasonable amount of time, he should change that. In the end, it doesn't matter how much Dodge Board members spend there, it matters whether the good people of the city enjoy their food from there. Ain't nuthin' DB can do but make suggestions!

I'm not up there so I'm not eating there. IF I had a friend that owned a place and he didn't know that folks felt like this - I would make sure he knew what folks were saying. Let him do what he needs to do - bail himself out. He needs to make it right, let folks know it's right, and advertise such. The price of a dancing bear could be "fresh fries - always" on a coupon that gave the customer incentive to get stung again.

Bad business is costly - good business sells itself. I don't think anyone owes anyone else a free ride when it comes to business. If this fella wants to make it - HE needs to do it - the customers will do thier part. Incentive goes both ways. Gotta be a reason to be there - gotta be a reason to keep comming back. Friendship has nothing to do with it - cides a friend wouldn't want me to eat crappy food just so he has business. Perhaps the manger needs to be there the 12 hours it's open till he has folks in leadership positions he can trust. Food service leadership is as hard to find as a good waitress in Dodge. A good waitress is a joy to have but very hard to find in most fast food places. Obviously there is a problem or folks wouldn't have such horror stories. I love A&W - wish we had one but no rootbeer in a mug is worth eatin crappy food then havin to pay for it as well.

Sorry Booger - hope your friend get the message and gets things straight - Dodge really doesn't need another lost business!

It's not that they don't want it - they just want it to be good........... that's not askin too much! Bein a 1st Sgt ya otta know you gotta carry your own load - if i were there I would go by and give it another try - IF I knew there were some changes being made - good luck to your friend............

I agree on this there has been times when I've eaten at A&W and it was great, but I turned around and at there for another meal and it was just the opposite. That can hurt the business and I would hate for Dodge to lose A&W(again?) because of this. Just my pennies worth.

We are giving him straight forward opinions on what we think the problem is.

Would you rahter us get on here and lie and say "the food was terrific, I'll be bcak tomorrow!!" when it is not the truth? That wont help him.

I did what I could to help him, in a matter of speaking. I said "make the fries BIG and FRESH. Make the portions BIG and FRESH. The rest is up to him. If he makes the food BIG and FRESH for awhile at least, the word will get out and everyone will go there for the BIG and FRESH food.

It's not my desire to hurt him. I am concerned about this business. I am trying to help him by voicing a sincere and truthfull opinion.

It's just my opinion, yes, but there doesn't seem to be anyone eating there, so maybe he deserves to know why.
