After two years of Sirius, I just switched over to XM for the Baseball coverage mainly. It's only been a few weeks but I think sirius's rock, humor, and SEC sports coverages are better. If one is into Howard Stern or NFL football they should go the Sirius route.

Just received XM for Christmas. I'm trying to read the book, but am technologically disadvantaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I received the home set, if that helps.

Baseball is a sport that is made for radio and XM has great coverage. I'll stick to watching NFL on TV, Opie and Anthony are a lot better than Stern. As far as rock you have the channels dedicated to the 60's, one for the 70's, one for the 80's, etc.you also have big tracks, top tracks, squizz, a hairband channel, alternative, etc. If you can't find it on XM, you aren't trying hard enough.

I have a roady in my car and a MyFi that I use in the house or while mowing the yard, I'm not sure what model you have but if you PM me with any questions you have, I will do my best to help you out.

I've had XM since July and it's only been off of channel150 about 4 times.

Sirius has similar stations to all those you listed there bubba, now the sports coverage isn't focused on baseball (mostly NFL, but they cover others) and Nascar is coming pretty soon. As for Stern that isn't the reason I have Sirius, I don't even listen to his station the Raw Dog Comedy and Blue Collar Comedy are much funnier. I don't see any one being better than the other (XM or Sirius) I think it just depends on what you like really. I think we could argue the goods and bads of each all day, but it's like a rocking chair. It won't get us anywhere.

when I was looking at equipment the guy at Best Buy said which one you get depends on what sports you like.

I said I would block the sports channels on it so I didn't even have to scroll through them.

His response was...

then it doesn't matter, XM and Sirius are pretty much the same without the sports.

I went with XM so I could piggy back on a friend's subscription.

That's the point I was making to whoever said the rock and sports were better on sirius. Also, like I said baseball is a sport that is tailor made for radio, I'll stick to watching NFL football on HDTV. Nascar doesn't work on the radio either, that is why XM let it go.
