I'm old, I like old music, don't care to hear anything new, I can do without the "new sound"! There ya go Bubba, just an old "rock & roller" and proud of it!! I can put in some AC/DC or some Zeppelin and drive for days!! Or I can put on some Pink Floyd and fall right to sleep!

If I recall correctly, XM and Sirius cost about the same for monthly services, the xm I just signed up for is 12.95 per month with a slight price break for paying all twelve months up front. Sirius has the same type plans XM charged me a 9.95 to activate and I don't recall paying sirius an activation fee but that was two years ago.

Hardware costs to get started in the Indianapolis area run from "free" on up but most of the popular car sets are in the $75 - $100 range, simple installations can be done by most anyone, cleaner installations run $70 at the best buy near my residence. Most of them require you to buy a separate home it or they have come out with "portable" devices the past year or so.
Both XM and Sirius have come out with IPod like devices that are a little pricer but really feature packed.

You can get a unit from about $40 on up depending on what you want. Service runs $12.95/mo. and additional units on a family plan are like $6.95/mo. Here are some different units...some have free activation and one month free service.

Having paid for both services, I can state there is a difference in their playlists. Both have their pluses and minuses but there is a distinct difference in their rock playlists.

I grew up listening to all of those, but if you don't listen to new music you can miss out on some really good groups like Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Cold, etc.....

I haven't hear of them but I listened to a premier performance by the guitar player in "Captain Crunch and the Cereal Killers" the other day. They're from Sublette ..... Middle School.
