I gotta vent... Tonight I stopped by Mike's on the way home from work. Me and my bro in law sat at the bar and waited for our to go order...3 dinners in all. I watched the bartender/server (and I use that term loosely) drop one of the salads and scrape it up back in the container and sit it on the back of the bar. I figured she would toss it. (should have been tossed right there) A few min later the food came and she packed our to go order and put the salads in there. I said hold on...you just gave me the salad you dropped on the floor. She said she exchanged it. I opened it up and there it was...all jacked up looking like it had been dropped on the floor. The ass. manager was there...chuckled about it, said oops sorry and got another salad. Had I not waited an hour for my food I would have told them to give me my money back and stick it. I get home and two of the dinners didn't have the mashed potatoes I ordered with the pork chops. GRRRRRRRRR I called back and the manager wanted to send me a couple of dinner cards. I asked him why the HELL I would want to eat there again. I will NEVER go to Mikes again. If they will scoop a salad up off the floor in front of you and give it to you...goodness knows what is going on in the kitchen.... Tomorrow I am going to call the health dept and complain.

Now I'm really cornfused.... no wait: .... did you order the tossed salad or the garden salad or the bar salad? Garden salad's are bland. Tossed bar salads are rather special.

Everyone is a stand up comedian tonight....LOL. The salad was tossed but I didn't want it tossed on the floor....... I guess that makes it a truly tossed salad.

I'd be pissed too - it sounds as if you were nicer than I woulda been - I probably woulda stopeed them when they placed the salad back on the bar the first time.

Yep I would call the health dept AND the manager (stupid asst manger) AND the home office -

I would follow up on all 3 complaints and I wouldn't stop till I felt like it won't happen again. Wether or not I would ever eat there is of little importance - I hope that they can see the big issue (serving food scraped off the floor as a health hazard) not just the loss of one customer - that isn't the issue to me.

I must add - THIS is a health hazard which is a big deal - smoking in a restuant???............. not such a big deal to me. wonder which wordie would want - scraped salad or non smoking scraped salad?????

Go get em AOO - raise hell! It must be an accepted practice if the asst mngr giggled and the scraper had a helper and witness......... scary place to eat!
