Jetmore successful? not by a long shot, there was the original 6 owners who couldn't make payment on their bills so a seventh owner was added 2 years ago who says he hasn't made a dime yet, and im 100% positive the stock they sold to save the track is absolutely worthless. Jetmore has done everthing it could to split the racers and the fans from supporting DC speedway, they scheduled against DC speedway special shows every chance they could , but thats buisness, now we have the DC commish interviewing Jetmores promoter to run the DC track!! Jetmores track is still a functional facility why would DC even consider letting their biggest pain in the back side take our subsidy dollars to promote the DC speedway along with their facility. Jetmore has failed with seven owners at their facility and with their promoter, so their track record pretty much speaks for itself, 2 of the owners filed bankruptcy in the past 12 months.(see bankruptcys kansas.com) It's time to add a promoter with a proven track record with an organization in place with quality people to step in and fix this problem,the Jetmore bunch is depending on our tax dollars to bail them out of their debt at their facility. Jetmore is done, if the commish makes the right decision as to who will operate our speedway, Jetmore will die and fade away then DC can concentrate on building our facility into the place to race in Kansas. Hiring seven people and a promoter from a failing facility will not fix the problem, it's time to start with new and race on.

I been gone a few years - (before DC went to dirt)........... I don't follow racin so didn't know Jetmore was kaput!...... too bad - but DC does need some professional intervention - not just "more of the same"

Actually, when Dodge went back to dirt, there was a gentleman's agreement that the 2 tracks would work together on their scheduleing so there wouldn't be big conflicts. That lasted about a month, until the guy running the Dodge track started doing his own thing which hurt both tracks in the long run.

They have moved all the races for next year to the ALL 4 FUN track!! They are going to concrete the entries into the DCRP, fill it with water, and use it as the new swimming pool/water park!! I think they tried to hire Lloyd Bridges to run the water park, but he went "Sea Hunting" with the fishes!

Actually, the stupidest thing they did was put asphalt down in the first place! The second stupidest thing they did was build the asphalt track the wrong size.

Stupid folks have stupid ways; and the absolute stupidest move was to destroy McCarty Speedway.... why? Because it "would cost too much" to make the staduim ADA compliant.

So here we are, millions of dollars below the grade trying to save a money pit by throwing more money into it.
