We are pretty much gaurunteed of new blood - but it's still gonna be runnin red.............. cause they all bleed the same! It's democracy at it's finest I guess. I want a candadate that hasn't been tainted......... period - I don't want a mess for a president or a presidents spouse....... but there is a mess in anyones life if ya look long enough. I still like Hillary but I figger my opinions will change as the year goes by - ain't nuthin to squabble over right now. Will be plenty of time for that. This is kinda like watchin the tryouts for American Idol............ it all gets spun out in the spin cyle...... when it's done we will have just the best to choose from......right?? That is how democracy works..........

God I hope so! Sure would be nice to get someone who's not a "good 'ol boy" but I just don't know if there's anyone out there like it who's willing to go thru what a candidate has to go thru to get the job. I've said it before; I don't know why ANYONE would want to go thru the mudslinging that happens during a campaign.......Jeez...it's like watching repeats of my kids when they were little.....name calling, ratting each other out, etc. I'm glad those guys are brave enough........I've got WAY to many skeletons; they'd have a field day with me!

What exactly is a "good 'ol boy"? Was Clinton a good 'ol boy? Which candidates now are "good 'ol boys"?

I agree with the mudslinging take. I think it's important to know about the past but also what is important is the future and the persons stance on the issues and what THEY will do in respect to the issues not just what the OTHER guy is doing wrong...

I think Clinton was a "good 'ol boy".......just like Cheney is, just like Newt was, just like Kennedy is.

I'd like to see someone new; someone who's willing to bridge party lines on issues to actually get some things accomplished. It's a little thing called COMPROMISE.........Something that those of us in the business world have to do on a regular basis. I'm sick of the whole Republican versus Democrat crap..........I'm crazy enough to believe both sides can have common ground on issues and be able to work together......

Army - I'm gonna smack you!............ Clinton was a good ole boy but ws able to convince the majority of the polulation he could feel our pain.......... Newt isn't as warm and fuzzy as bill was and actually still is.

Newt needs to soften up or he'll never make it - you know that. People vote with who they believe will be fair, compassionate, honest, and will represent our county by thier integrity. Truth is career politicians convice us they can pull this off - Newt is just gonna need some polishin - that's all! He'll have a support base - even if it doesn't get him elected - I'm sure he'll give it the ole Washington try!

Now Quit squabblin!!!!................

PS - I AM NOT Army strong today!! I wanna play games in the arcade! Also have ya taken the time today to go do the daily contest.......... I learned lots about someone who can't even run for office........... it was nice!

Too bad they don't put term limits on Senators....then people like Kennedy couldn't sit there for a bazillion years and become so powerful that no one can challenge you for the Senate seat.
