So are you saying that Atheism is a religion?

| Some would probably argue that it is....

| Well, ya all just aren't paying attention. Jesus has returned .... to Dodge City! Careful attention is necessary to get a glimpse of him cuz he changes his appearance. Sometimes he's wearing rags and other times I've seen him in slick shirts and even a cowboy hat. Oh, he changes last names, too. Yesterday he used Garcia.

| OK that's fair enough then. Your confusion about my current avatar is understandable so here's the short version. In my experience religion is the cause of most of the problems, violence and horrible things that happen on this planet. When people write rules governing how OTHER people come to terms with God or even the lack of one they have created a religion. Then, just by their nature, those religions clash because the people wo follow one set of rules look at the rules set by another group and they feel threatened because both of them are saying that their set is the only right one. Well humans being stupid creatures at heart they just can't let that other set of rules draw people away from theirway of thinking because if those OTHER guys get more people then our group would be wrong... You can see where this goes. Truly this is my way of seeing the world and I don't personally care how many people come over to my way of thinking. I just don't like to see ANY one religion, and I'm including Atheists in that, try to convince memeber of another they are wrong. Personally I do believe that every person must come to trems with a Supreme Being or the lack of one on their own terms. If that means going to church every day of the week or praying every 15 minutes or if that means telling yourself you only get one shot at life so do it right, then you do what you need to get through life. Personally I can't ever see myself subscribing to any single religion because they are just a set of rules written by people who don't really know me and how I've come to feel about God. If you need, or want it that's great just don't try to tell me or someone else that THEY are wrong because YOU are right.

| Wordsmythe you sound like you believe someone is forcing you and others to except their beliefs. I set "rules" for my family but I sure don't expect others to follow, and others don't expect me to follow theirs. Now I can choose to judge others by the rules they choose to except or not, but thats just human nature and we are all guilty, religious or not, of it. If I choose to believe there is a God what business is it of yours? I can suggest you teach your kids to not play in the street but ultimately it's your decision. No one is forcing you to make a decision but yourself. It's almost as you have a phobia of religion. Does the idea that people choose to believe there is something bigger than living and dieing? Does it bother you so much that some people choose to believe in a God you can't see, hear or prove even exists?
