You aren't going over there enough to help them stay in business. One of Garden's most popular bar's, Time Out Sport's Bar & Grill, is on the verge of closing, if they haven't already closed. That is how much their business is down since the ban went into effect. The American Legion is losing over $1000 per week when you compare pre-ban and post-ban receipts. Their regular customers are going to bars outside the city limits where there is no ban.

Bottom line is that all the non-smoking pussies that cried about getting a smoking ban aren't spending the money required to keep local businesses open.

PS. I don't smoke, but I dont want to see smoking bans put in place.

I know Time Out has been on the outs for sometime. Every seens it changed owners. But I did hear that people are going out of the city limits to bars. But I would not have been able to tell that by the amount of people I saw out that night. They did get up and go out and smoke then come back in. But the places I went where busy, just as busy as before.

What nice clubs are there in dodge with a "club atmosphere" , food, and such that's open during the week?

Dodge only gets live entertainment on the weekend - Garden usually has live bands somewhere during the week. ( or used to)

I think it's a little more than a membership problem - I think it's a problem that folks will drive to Garden middle of the week for some entertainment but won't go to a club if it's open in Dodge during the week. I think Garden has more of a "berb" mentality and some clubs that are more progressive - Dodge - well they just like the status quo.

You are partly right Tex. Getting a club in Dodge is a matter of who you know and how much you can pay to open it. Donny G's took forever to get open. There is more of a mix in Garden so it draws more people.
