One step closer.

TOPEKA - Lawmakers moved closer Monday to allowing a $50 million destination casino to be built in southwest Kansas.

The House voted 64-58 to approve a bill that would allow for casinos in four areas of the state, including Ford County, sending the measure on for consideration in the Senate, where its fate is uncertain.

Is our State Senator against the gaming bill for Dodge? You can almost bet that he is, unless he gets alot of E-mails, and phone calls. We need gambling in "Old Dodge City". The old towns in Colorado have made it work, besides I spend a lot of money in Cripple Creek, since I have kin folks living close by.

Bubba,

Last time I checked Tim has always voted no on the idea of expanded gambling in Kansas. Has he changed his position?

I am pretty sure that I have emailed him on this subject not too long ago and I thought that I got a reply that said he was for it. Maybe, I was wrong. I will email him again and ask for his support on the bill.
