| Army you are an intelligent man. I'll answer you questions as best I can. But first I never follow the ideals of specific people in the Liberal Dem party. Its a general grouping. Bill Clinton was a prick. Plain and simple he surrounded himself with equally as many incompetant people as George W. Bush. And, by no mean are there actions that led to their numerous indictments justifiable. But you know what? I was to young to vote when Clinton was running for office on both occasions. I wasn't even 18 when Bush was elected again causing me to be unable to vote. Abortion is a priveledge. Sadly it is because it is legal. I'm an adopted child. I know what my fate could've been horrificly short otherwise had my 16 year old biological mother taken a different path in regards to me. My point on this is that it should continue to stay legal if only there were more regulations on it. I mean hell you hear of a woman who has had six abortions, possibly more, and you begin to think that some women are just loving their ability to freely act like skanks and never have to live with the consequences. On a side note another example I could give from personal experience, off the topic of abortion and onto the topics of STDs. I recently had an STD evaluation. Talking with the nurse who did the tests at the County Health Department, she told me that I'd be amazed about how many people she sees regularly for medical treatment from Chlamydia/Gonorrhea because they have absolutely no self control. The same goes for abortion regulation. It panders to women who have no self control with their sexual actions. Al Gore can hate that statement all he wants. I'm a very analytical person. I do think we are in a global warming phase on this planet but its not entirely due to our influence. Hillary Clinton sits in the same boat as her husband (read paragraph above). The fact that she continues to stay in a relationship with a man who has been so dreadfully unfaithful say nothing of her character. It only shows that she has the convictions of someone who wants nothing more than to look good to the public. This may spark a question about my statements of the sactitiy of marraige, and I have a personal belief that infidelity is all to common and it makes me sick. I have never and will never be unfaithful to my one and only. There is no truth when it comes to her. I may share some of the same views on certain topics, but I just don't like this woman. She is dangerous. On the current status of our military's arsenal. Yes we are the best trained and we have the best weapons. But, and this is a bit but, our troop transport vehicles are still grossly outdated and many of them are outfitted by the soldiers themselves (rather poorly) with a metal armoring commonly referred to as "Pig Iron" because they can't withstand the impact shrapnal from an IED. I take this info from a co-worker who recently returned from Iraq. Our troops shouldn't be dying in the numbers that they are. I recently watched a documentary done by Jefferery Ross on his time in the USO tour in Iraq. He showed what an IED will do to a Humvee. It isn't pretty and it speaks worlds about our military's lack of initiative towards upgrading or replacing existing means of conveyance. To recap in short. Bill Clinton was an immoral prick who surrounded himself with other equally immoral pricks. The abortion systems needs severe tweaking and harshing regulations. Hillary Clinton is dangerous even if we share views on certain topics. The military and feds don't care for the needs of the troops in the field to make sure that the majority of them are safer even in war. Army, I am a Liberal Democrat. But I am still and Kansas boy. I was born and bred in this state, hell I've Lived in Dodge since I was four years old. I still developed my opinions through my own personal thoughts on each and every one of these subjects. Take it for what you want I guess. I did choose to type this out looking for a little spark from some people. YWS |

| You know, I just typed up this long rebuttal to Army_of_One's questions and I forgot to address something. Immigration, I stand on a very different side to this. A lot of you have read my statements about how I feel towards immigrants coming to this country, giving birth and their children are citizens. I have thought long and hard about it recently. Deportation isn't enuf. 20ft high electrified fences that have a 5 ft depth seems to be a decent idea for a deterent. Another idea would be to place motion activated 50cal. Machine guns every 100ft down the fence. lol Immigration is one of the only topics I don't know exactly which side I sit on. No truly there is no answer to the immigration issue that can solve it for good. Frankly we sit at a point where the richest people in the country won't ever want our hispanics "friends" from the south to ever leave because they couldn't ever bring themselves to do their own gardening or lawn care. One of the larger sub-issues withing the whole immigration issue is that 2.2billion dollars annually leave our country to go back to the Central American countries. Thats $2.2billion that could be helping to stabilize our faltering economy. Crime is on the rise nation wide. Everything from Violent crimes involving guns/blade objects to rampant drug use/sales. Frankly I don't have the answer to the immigration issue. Other than a bigger fence and more border control. |

| Young whipper snapper. Love that term; my dear old dead granddaddy used to call us that. Lessee, I have only voted for one presidential candidate who won, Clinton for his first term. The first one I got to vote for was Carter back when you had to be 21 to vote. I was old enough for Uncle Sam but too young to vote or legally buy hard liquor. So, you all can get out the broad brush and paint me as you wish. I am liberal when it comes to helping those truly in need. I'm a product of that Old Time Religion taught in the Methodist Church and Kansas farmer help your neighbor values, though I no longer believe that things will be really good when I'm dead and all that. I am conservative when it comes to government interference and regulation. I firmly believe that if I screw up, I have to face the consequences. And so do you. But I sure as hell don't want anyone in government telling me how to live my life as long as I don't mess up anyone else's. Right now I am so stoked to vote FOR someone, anyone, who gives me some hope for the future instead of some money-beholding gasbag who tells me how bad the "other guy/girl" is for me and my country. To boil it down, I love my country but fear my government. And so it goes. |

| Nice post YWS. I do agree with the statement in your first post "To be a Liberal Democrat from the midwest is the equivalent of being a Middle of the Road Republican on the coasts." I’ll be looking forward to your future posts. FYI, the economy is not faltering.
