Dodge City Walmart....

This is just my opinion but has anyone else noticed the Dodge City Walmart and how "crappy" (for lack of a better word) it is compared to other Walmarts. The produce is horrid. It always looks unorganized and dirty. Do the employees not care? Is it a management issue? Does anyone else feel this way?

OMG this walmart does SUCK! Ive heard from sources inside, that it is acceptable for our walmart to look this way because most of the people that shop here have seen worse where they come from. They cant keep decent help. People shop lift all the time. Every time I go in that store I fine open packages that people have stolen out of. I always try to turn it in to a manager. A lot of good that does though. The people that work here have a bad attitude. They will be the first ones to tell you that if you dont like the service here, then call 1-800-WALMART.

If you happend to be in Mcpherson ks, go to their walmart it is so clean, thats the first thing that I notice when I had walked up in there, then compare the one here I bet you'll fall over. I about did

I read not too long ago that Wal-Mart is now marketing each of their stores to their individual towns. So, when we live in what seems a seedy border town, that's what we'll get. Meanwhile, travel to Hays and you'll see a Wal-Mart that caters to the college with trendy clothes and health food and such. I'll try to find the article and post it...it's getting too late now to hunt on the web.

I think that everyone on this board knows what is wrong with WalMart. It's in Dodge City. Check out G.C. & Liberal, same, same. Me thinks, that our neighbors have alot to do with the problems that they have. Me thinks, the city as whole, has the same problem.

Our Walmart is pretty bad too - We waited 40 min for a manager - I finally went and found one and on that same day........... all the managers quit....... no joke - they walked out. The place was and is a zoo. Same attitude yet go 10 miles up the road to Dickinson League City area........... and it's a very nice walmart. I think the Wiz is right - I sure see it!

As long as WE the customers allow things to be this way, they will continue. I beleive if you see something you dont like you should say something.. If you are treated badly then you should say something.. either to your local walmart management OR you go straight to the top and call Bentonville. I have done it several times and will continue to until I see things change. Here in Dodge City Walmart is about all we have, but that does not mean that we have to accept the treatment and the lack of cleanliness. Even though they piss me off often, I continue to shop there because it is so much easier and it is a little cheaper than driving all over town to get certain things. You may not believe it, but Bentonville does care what you think and when you call there, they get right on the problem. I know that from experience.

On the day I'm speaking of Bentonville woulda had to talk to cashiers..... probably the head one cause I'm tellin ya the management hit the streets. Course they had a manager the next day I'm sure - probably lear jetted him in Bentonville!!........... or tug boated him over from Galveston.

The current condition of Wal-Mart is why I openly embrace Alco. While it's certainly no Target and their products may be on average $.25 or so more than Wal-Mart, I will gladly go there week after week and spend the extra $2.00 to $3.00. The store is clean, perhaps a little cramped for space but the clerks have always been friendly and asked if I needed any help. But I'm willing to do that in order not to step foot within that dirty, filthy mammoth on 14th!
