Not really, was never a Rush fan. Can't say i'm into Black Panthers either. I guess when some of us fail to read the first sentence, and skip onto the rest, they miss the point of the post. So I suppose I should break it down for you.

I like Bill Maher. I like Bill Mahers views on things. I like how Bill Maher brings up topics and uses his sharp tongue to put his spin on it. I like Bill Maher.

Bill Maher has an opinion and is unapologetic about it. Given the opinions he puts out, and the statements he makes. That's pretty awesome to me.

Bill Maher also puts it out there with quite a bit of sarcasm. I can appreciate Bill Maher's sense of humor, and the witty ways he says things. The snide comments and jokes are funny to me.

What's not to love? This mind you, is open to question what's not to love about him. Feel free to give your opinions as to why you think he sucks. That's your opinion. But don't suggest that I am speaking of any other entity beyond BILL MAHER.

Thanks.

Ok, my appologies for not being able to read into your post the obvious deep reasoning you intended. I did read the first sentence. Since this topic is of a political nature I assumed you liked him because of his views and opinions on that subject. I also assumed by your post that you liked him for the simple reasons you stated the first time and were defending or expressing your opinion based on such. I merely pointed out that Rush and the Black Panther dude also use sarcasm and humor to express their opinions. I never said he sucks or even expressed that but because I asked you to clarify your point you assumed I did. Maybe if some of us would read the follow up posts they would have caught that.

I feel bad because you have gotten bad reps. I really feel you are an asset to the board because we have so many members that don't post and it could be the rep system that stops them, but just understand there is someone thats doing it for fun I guess.

The important thing is Your thoughts are yours and you are willing to share them on this board. I know you already know that this is for entertainment purposes only and not life altering.

Keep up the good work. I tried to give you a good rep but it won't let me, gotta wait.

Thanks Jeeze, but honestly. It's not about the rep. It's about the underhanded ways people seem to go about things. Such is life, you have all kinds and you learn to deal with them. I took a few days away, because it was irritating me to just read posts.

Everyone has opinions, and I would not deny another theres. I just think there is a better way than nitpicking someone's post, and trying to find fault in every thought. To me, it's a personal attack, and I recieved many a negative rep from a certain thread, for just expressing my thoughts on something.

I could see if I came into the forums and said... "Whaddup you stupid bitches, **** ya'll, I smoke weed, I drink Mass amounts of Malt liquor and I burn flags...!!" but I didn't, i'm not, and I don't.

I actually ran across this forum looking for past dodge city day medallion hunt clues, then stuck around. I realized that I knew someone from high school on here, so I stuck around, figuring it didn't seem to be half that bad.

At first, it was okay, as long as I stuck in the safe areas, but the moment you go somewhere and post your thoughts on something, beyond fluff, it's like being tossed into the middle of a gang war, where they're all gathering around to kick at you, because your opinion doesn't seem agreeable to them.

Perhaps others wouldn't agree in my description of it, but that's honestly how it felt. I try hard to not allow anything here to bother me, once I hit that X on the top, and when it does, that's when I just step back, and say, I've had enough.

I don't consider it defeat, or me tucking tail to run, I consider it just what it is. A reality check. This isn't life, it isn't death. It's a bunch of people with a keyboard, and the ability to try and articulate who they are online, and what they think. Some more mightier and mouthier than others, thanks to the anonimity that you can only get online.

Highwayman,

Back to the thread,

Here's my two cents worth...

The Democrats want the illegals in the U.S. for votes and the Republicans want them to stay for cheap laborers. Regardless of what any party says nothing is going to happen to kick them out or to keep them from coming across the boarder. It's all just a big game the policians play to get votes and make boat loads of money at our expense.

I would think the illegals would lean toward the Republicans because they are the ones suppling jobs for many illegals. The Republicans want to create tax breaks for big corporations so they can use that money for expansion of their companies. Which would in return create more jobs for illegals.

The Democrates are also being two faced by gaining support from big labor unions by pushing the idea that U.S. companies should hire U.S. workers. (something the unions like to hear). I found it funny that the U.F.C.W. union at Cargill Meat Solutions supported the Democrats during the last election. My question to them was: Why? Democrats want to place a heavy tax on Corporations like Cargill. Which will keep them from expanding and hiring more illegals. Why then, do you support the Dem. party? Also asked them if Pres. Clinton did alot to help illegals. According to everything I've heard Clinton was tough on immagration issues. One of the toughest Presidents on immagration in a long time.

Oh well...enough said!

The unions have been in bed with Democrats for years. Unions funnel dues monies into electing Democrats and in return Democrats give tax dollars to fund union programs.

You may have noticed that a couple of unions broke affiliation with the AFL-CIO because they were fed up with Sweeney neglecting union building programs and spending the money on elections.
