| just wondering Wondering what all of you on the board have done about the toys that you have lovingly purchased for your kids. Are you worried about the ones that are NOT on the recall list ?? Corporate Greed at its best. So sad not to mention the expense, unless you gather them all up and take them back to the store and demand a refund.

Just wait and see what is safe and what is not. Time to bombard our wonderful leaders with another round of WTF !!

| Recalls Mattel used to stand for a good product for kids, made right here in the USA. Along with many other companies here in this country, many have gone to other countries with the thought of only making themselves more money. And most shocking, is that they really do not give one damn about those here in the USA, let alone the children who is their target group. All of this is done so that they can make as much money as they possibly can, without one care about how shoddy and dangerous these products are for the children right here in this country. It seems that these companies think that it is more important that they get as much money as they can by taking the companies to foreign soils with no thought or care about how shoddy the products that they sell to our children are. Not to mention, dangerous. All in the name of a profit. And most sadly of all, is that they do not give one crap about how these products are made, just so they make a dollar. The only reason for these "recalls" are so that they do not get sued. Not because of the dangers to our children. They could care less about the children, and only about how much money they could lose if they got caught, "Not recalling" these defective products. I would bet anything that if they knew they would not get caught, nothing would be done at all. NOTHING! No recalls at all. In the past, companies used to make products that would last and had pride in these products. They used to make them to last a long time, it was rare if once bought, that you would ever have to replace them. Not today! They do not care about any pride, and make the products to break as quickly as possible thus causing people to have to buy them over and over many times. It is not that these companies can not make them right and make them to last, it is that they will not do this just so that the consumer will have to buy them over and over, as many times as possible. This just makes me quite ill, and makes me want to get these products and put them where the sun will never shine, and would take an operation to remove them from these pigs "stinky place"! Once these companies and "Chief Execs" are known, they should be fined and or put into very dark and uncomfortable prisons for beyond life! Out of country cheap labor should be a crime. Moving a company out of country should be a crime. The harm that this causes the workers here in this country is well known, and should be against the law. And yet, these companies have no pride what so ever when it comes to supporting this country and its workers. And it became very clear that many companies instead of going out of country, decided to stay in this country, but hire illegal aliens to do the jobs that once were held by citizens of this country, not some other country. If consumers in this country would come together as a large mass, and quit buying from companies that do not support our own citizens, not to mention this country, things would start to change very quickly when those dollars stopped rolling on in. Things would change, if only the citizens would change attitudes and loyalties to companies who have no loyalties only to themselves. Could just happen! God bless! Craigb |

| We threw the bibs we had that were made from "Baby Connection" with the plastic on the back away. The funny thing is that this Walmart in town still sells them.

| We need to have an outcry in this country and let the powers that be know about it. Seems like it is something NEW everyday to horrify us. But, if it wasn't for Freedom of Press, how much would we know...... I know I don't have any other means of getting my news, and I try to surf thru all the stations to kinda get the truth. Not easy Hopefully we can get our companies to rethink this outsourcing fiasco. I do remember when Mattel toys were a bit pricey, you know when they were made in USA. I liked them for their quality and Craig is right .....they lasted forever. Sometimes you have to go backward because moving forward is a DEAD END. Sad day when you worry about bib's that you put on your baby. (sigh)

| Sheesh if it weren't for this board I'd never know what was going on!! I'm kinda glad my son is more into the video game thing now and this one I'm pregnant with isn't old enough to really need or want too many things. Can't really put too much trust into anything it seems

| The son & wife are re-educating me on baby stuff. I, too, thought Mattel was the best. Now, I've found out exactly what to check on to determine safety for myself. Sad....the only bib I have is a terryclock one with a knit neckline - like we used to make in the old days. She uses a soft kitchen towel as a burp cloth because the disposables are 'icky'. Pretty sad when you can't coun on something we depend on for our babies to be safe.
