| Throw in some pride in workmanship and I’m with you in that minority.

| I agree the lack of good customer service is everywhere. I went to a Subway down here in Elkhart, Kansas the other day and some young guy was working. He didn't bother to wash his hands just put some gloves on, then with the gloves on he starts reaching in his pocket and playing with his cell phone and then proceeds to make people's sandwiches. Needless to say I didn't eat there that day. I went back into the same Subway last night and the manager was in so I informed her of what was going on and described the kid that was doing this. The kid happened to be in the back and heard that I had turned him in and actually got in my face asking me if I had a problem with him and wanted to fight me. Now that is terrible customer service and it seems to be a problem that is happening everywhere.

| I dont believe it is just "our" walmart in western Kansas. I believe it is ALL walmarts. Walmart management is there for themselves. The fewer the people we have working, the lower the payroll is. The lower the payroll the higher the profit. The higher the profit the HIGHER their bonus is. Ever since Sam died that place has gone down hill. As for "our" walmart in western Kansas, I was told once that ( I hope I can explain this as delicatly as possible) Because of the percent of people that shop here are lower income they cater to them. If those people are ok with dirty bathrooms, empty shelves, horrible service, then that is what we are going to get. Im not saying it is right at all, that is just what I was told once. I do not believe that we should just let it go, and move or shop somewhere else. I think everybody should complain every chance they get, if there is a good reason. If you dont feel like you are getting anywhere with a manager in this store.. then you call 1-800 WALMART. Believe me... they do care and they do listen. One of these days they will get tired of the complaints out of Dodge City, and they will get management in here that will take care of the store and the people the right way so they can stop getting so many calls and complaints. |

| TheWizzard is right. I was just going to try to post something along those lines that wouldn't have come out nearly as well stated so instead I will say "what they said!" Also, you can't really expect people to be super happy about customer service when they are getting paid a dollar (exaggeration I know) an hour. You should check out this movie. | I travel ALOT, and I am treated worse here in my HOMETOWN, than anywhere I go! Rude, annoying, lazy, dirty, you name it! In most other stores, I am treated with respect and as a customer who is going to spend money at their establishment! For the most part, the people around here act like they are doing you a favor just by letting you in the door!! And it is NOT just Walmart!! |

| I'm in agreement with MitUSA. It's not just Wal*Mart I was at O'Rilley's the other day and being the only non-Hispanic in the store made for a very frustrating experience. Behind the counter was 3 Hispanics and several Hispanics at the counter being waited on. I patiently stood there waiting to be waited on by the parts-man not helping anyone. He just ignored me and when some new customers walked in and to the counter, right past me, the parts-man waited on them. I was like WTF? One of the other parts-man noticed what happened and looked at me saying be with you in a minute. I've noticed this service, or lack of, seems to be happening more often all the time. At first I thought to myself Well now I guess I know how it feels to be a minority, but then I thought No, I've never seen minorities treated that rudely before.
