Tell me WHY-DC does NOT use the small business to supply their needs? I see sm business hurting because they use businesses out of state or city. Don't the large companies realize they are the ones hurting our town. The smaller businesses our here to service your needs, so why not use people in your own town???? Please tell me, I'm dying to get educated.

Just about everything in this town is some sort of chain. I've lived here for quite awhile and can't think of anything local to get groceries, my clothes, sons clothes etc etc

I love Hyvee as well. It is not the closest grocery store to my home, but I do all my grocery shopping there.

I had not shopped in our Wal Mart for many months. Yesterday my son and I went there, and not one thing has changed at all. One of my gripes is why in the hell do mexican males and non pregnant mexican females (No, don't say that they could have been just a few weeks) parking in this spot at all? Especially when a real PREGNANT white female is waiting for one of these spots! They seem to think that they can do any damn thing that they want to do. Well, not with me around. One mexican young male parked in this spot, and I started toward him and was yelling at him about parking there. I yelled and asked if he was a GAY latino or just another useless piece of shit. He flipped me off, and called me some MEXICAN NAMES, and told me in ENGLISH to not dishonor him or I would pay! I took off after this little shit and was yelling at him about dishonoring females who deserved to park there. Once he saw that I was going to do something very physical to him, he took of running. My son, who was holding back was laughing about this situation and took off after this young STUD! He ran around the lot and ran back to his car, got in and took off! Real STUD this one! One lady came up and thanked my son and myself for doing this, as no one seemed to give a crap at all. If people would only speak LOUDLY and VOICE the displeasure that they are feeling in a LOUD voice, maybe things might change, and maybe not. But its is great for that wind blown look!
Oh, the reason I said what I did about the non preg female is because she had a baseball uniform with some gibberish on it and had CLEATS ON! Our Wal Mart leaves much to be done, yet seems that no matter how long you stay out of there, once you go back, nothing has STILL NOT changed! So, whats with this? The one thing I can say about being underpaid, is DON"T take a job that you KNOW you will not like, let alone even try to do is some form let alone a good form~! No one has to take a job that they know they will not do~, nor should they as others suffer~! Sadly not just them!

And, what is with the parking spaces being so damn small? You have to be so careful when getting out of a car to not hit the one next to you. Yet, so many are not careful at all and will bang the hell out of your car with the junk car they drive. Wal Mart should be ashamed of trying to CRAM as many cars into the lots as they can, not giving a crap about what happens to your car at all. I think that Wal Mart should have to pay for fixing cars that are banged up because of their greed! How soon do you think this might happen? lolol That soon huh?

Believe it or not Craig, White people park in the preg/handicapped parking spots also. Not all Mexicans drive junk cars nor do white people. Your stereotypes make me ill. In this case it was a Hispanic and since our population is about 70% Hispanic there are better odds of that person being hispanic. If it was a white person that parked there would you have chased him down?

Walmart just needs to take the signs for the mommy spots out. They aren't legally enforceable and they just cause problems.

There are TONS of local shops here downtown and a few in the mall. Some of them are owned by Hispanics so a lot of people of the caucasion persuasion will not shop there. Some of them have some pretty good deals.

I am currently pregnant and I use these spots every time I shop at Wal-Mart! I love having less walk time because after getting through the large store, I unfortunately begin my "blacking out" crap! I think the spots are very helpful, and I usually find one open when I get to the store.

I always believed that pregnant women should get temporary handicapped signs for their vehicles, that would expire two months postpartum. This would help resolve the issue. Then again, who do you need to talk to for that to be issued? That's why I hate the world.

See the thing is Sherry...MOST handicapped people have no control over the fact that they are handicapped so they deserve that sticker in most cases. Someone gets pregnant because they choose to get pregnant so I have to disagree with that. If you are blacking out I hope you are not driving.
