I saw a clip on one of the news channels yesterday. I didn't realize how long this nuclear program had been in progress.

Could this reasonably explain part of the reason we went to Iraq ? To get these bases established ? I know I know that would make the Bush administration and the Congress be very insightful.

Either I was not paying attention to the news, or they didn't report this enough to make an impact on us. Or has there been a deliberate distraction so we would not panic?

I am still searching for the report from yesterday.

Like I said.................. I am getting more confused daily. WTF

First of all yes..having bases in Iraq will benefit us in the future just like having bases in Europe benefited us in the cold war.

Second of all you are just NOW figuring out that Iran is trying to develp nuclear weapons? It's been in the news for the last 18 months or so. They have threated to total destruction of Isreal flat out and also threatened the U.S. You don't hear about it as much as you should in the media because it is liberal. Plus I will admit that after not a whole lot of WMD was found in Iraq the credibility of the administration isn't exactly at an all time high. Isreal just bombed Syria taking out some supposed nuke sites...it was played down in the media. I wonder if this is a practice for Iran. If Iran are developing nukes do you think we should intervene? Also do you think the Republicans or Dems would best handle the situation?

Being that MOST of us believe that people worth their salt have made a lot of mistakes and LEARNED from them. For example ......... If I were in a counseling of some sort I would want a counselor that has" been there done that" and has suffered from the consequences of their actions and know by experience that the choices they made not only Fu*ked them up but also the people that depended on them.

So who do I think could handle this fiasco that we are in

Army I just said it in my post. I think now because of the mistakes he made he is more attuned to careful consideration of what ever the problem is.

I kinda admire the guy, and especially his mother. He was raised by a single mother, he was very loved by his mother and she saw to it that he excelled. In what could have been the stereotypical home, they overcame the odds. She could have wallowed in self pity and just been one of the statistics, but she saw in him the potential to excel and helped him reach for the brass ring, so to speak. Having said that, She spoiled him rotten.

Slick Willy was very intelligent and Mom saw to it that he reached his full potential. He is a RHODES SCHOLAR after all.

Now do I think he was full of himself and arrogant and self serving and just a typical Jerk with a degree. YES I DO , however he was not any different than I probably would have been had I had those credentials. Plus he was young. He was a young president. He had not learned yet, that it wasn't about him.

Watching him now, he seems more humble and smarter. He did have to learn common sense by mistakes and to me that is the best way to learn

As a footnote and to keep up with the BS, At least Clinton had the smarts to be slick.
