| I thought all the register prices were programmed at HQ back in Arkansas?

| The prices are given by the home office to each store. After that the store has to change the prices. Thats why you see alot of people walking around with a hand held computer and a printer with them. They are doing price changes. Whether they go up or down. Thats up to the home office we have no control. |

| While I agree that DCgofigure has been somewhat helpful that doesn't take away the fact that despite DCGF's hard work our Walmart still pretty much sucks. It's not going to be fixed overnight.

| The facts remain that at the registers they were charging the wrong price for the two Delmonte veggies they were adv. My hubby did not get unsalted anything. I think it is a little sad when you have to show someone a picture of their own ad to get the right price. Same thing happened at Target last weekend in GC. They had two christmas trees marked at $19.98 so I got one. Went to check out and at the register they rang up $39.98.This time hubby said it was marked down and the sign was right in front of the one tree that was left back there on the shelf. They went to check and what had happened a clerk had moved the two trees to the shelf that held the 22'' trees instead of the 33'' trees. Sign did not say what size trees were $19.98. They said it was their mistake and we could have it at that price. Nice people over in GC. Yeah Target |

| When Wal*Mart first came to town they were a real threat to local business because along with cheap prices they had great service. The employees seemed eager to help you. I remember being asked if I needed help all the time. I don't think fewer employees has anything to do with it because I see employees everywhere. I used to think the problem was just a typical pattern of the giant known for crushing local business, but now I believe the real problem is the quality of employees. The old people of Dodge City are easily swayed by cheap prices but they don't take to being mislead. Of course the new voice of Dodge City, the immigrant voice, don't seem to care much about service but only price. So at this point I really don't see much incentive for Wal*Mart to change.
